Mel81x
mc bc iniesta on rank 19th and malouda on rank 11th or xavi ka naam bhi nahi ballon d'or ke nominees kaun the castrol ko pata bhi hai naam to vidic ka bhi hona chahiye http://www.castrolfootball.com/rankings/about/index-nonflash.php There you go. Explains quite a bit. I suppose not every move marks as an offensive system which is where I think it kind of fails but then again this is ranking based on creating chances not stopping them I suppose. Mel81x
I like it. Writing needs a bit more refinement and the drops in the thought process can be overlooked but it kind of outlined what Arsene needs to do before the next season. Now the more important question. Who wrote it? And I don't mean the name but was it someone from here? If anyone missed it - http://www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/news/newsid=1472836/index.html Whenever I read an article like that I am just gutted that Portugal never went the distance when they should have. The Golden Era should have produced a much better end-result with the team that they had assembled but it all just fizzled. The only bright note to take away from any Portugal performance is that they make a meal out of England every time they meet them lol Edited July 12, 2011 by Mel81x

kaka_messi
kaka_messi nope, not me =============================================================== about the transfer news(latest according to skysports[maybe created by media]) is this- Inter - Sneijder not for sale Newspapers in both Italy and England claimed that the Old Trafford outfit were planning a big-money move for the Holland international.Branca, however, insists Inter do not want to sell their talented playmaker and would not welcome any bids for him. "Wesley Sneijder is untransfereable," said Branca. "There is nothing to update. Offer "It's not surprising Sneijder is wanted by other clubs, but we have received no formal offer, nor do we intend to wait for one. "We know what we have to do and there are no meetings planned with his agent. Sneijder is not for sale." United are on the hunt for a playmaker after the retirement of Paul Scholes at the end of last season. They have also been linked with Arsenal's Samir Nasri and Tottenham's Luka Modric this summer as they search Europe for a replacement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harry - Modric not for sale Harry Redknapp has reiterated Tottenham's desire to keep Luka Modric out of the clutches of Chelsea. The Blues have upped their offer for the Croatia international by £5million to £27million, but Tottenham insist they are not interested in selling. Modric is set to fly out to South Africa on Wednesday with the rest of the first-team squad for their pre-season tour. And despite Chelsea's improved offer, when asked if this latest bid had caused Tottenham to change their stance, Redknapp was emphatic. "No, only the same response, we don't want to sell him," he told Sky Sports News. "Obviously I still think £27million is a poor offer for a player of that ability. In my opinion it would not be anywhere near what I would think he was valued at, if he was for sale - but he's not for sale. "There is nowhere to go with it really, the chairman has made a stance and he's not for sale - and that's it." There are some suggestions that Chelsea could yet come back with a further improved bid that would break the £30million barrier. Yet, for Redknapp, any such bid would still be well below his valuation of a player that sparkled throughout last season as Spurs impressed in the UEFA Champions League. "What I honestly value him at would be way more in excess of that, if you asked me honestly what I thought he was worth," added the Spurs boss. "Even if they offered that, the chairman said he is not for sale. It's a difficult situation and he's such a great boy, he's not a troublemaker and he's come in and trained great today and that's how he is. Key "He will just get on with his job because that's how he is but, we really don't want to lose him because he is a key player for us." Modric still has the option of handing in a transfer request but Redknapp does not feel that would help the Croatian's cause and fully expects him to travel to South Africa with the rest of the squad on Wednesday. "I really don't think that would have any effect on the situation," continued the Tottenham boss on the possibility of the player handing in a transfer request. "Yes he's coming with us tomorrow, as I said before he's the last lad in the world that would ever cause a problem. You couldn't meet a nicer boy. "As I've said before, there are players who would be a real problem and I've come across some in my years of management, who, if they wanted to go somewhere, would kick up and make sure they got their move." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- City confirm Tevez bid Manchester City have confirmed to Sky Sports sources they have received a bid from Corinthians for Carlos Tevez. Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian, as we reported earlier on Tuesday, has confirmed he has been in talks with the Brazilian club. Now City have told Sky Sports sources that they have indeed received the offer which is around £35million. City have not yet responded to Corinthians, as they consider whether to sell their talismanic, yet unhappy, captain. The transfer deadline for permanent deals in Brazil is July 20th, so Corinthians are pushing for a quick response. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barca win Sanchez race.Pina, who is also president of Granada, said: "Alexis has decided to play in Spain and now the matter is practically closed." Barcelona look to have won the race to sign Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez ahead of a number of Premier League clubs. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with the Chile international at various stages over the summer, while Inter Milan and Napoli were also credited with an interest. European champions Barca always looked to have the edge over their rivals, with Spain being Sanchez's preferred destination. And now Quique Pina, Udinese's Spanish representative, has confirmed that the Catalan giants are on the verge of completing the transfer for the sought-after 22-year-old. Udinese have placed a 50million euros (£44.6million) price-tag on the head of Sanchez, who is currently on international duty at the Copa America. The deal is understood to be cash only, with no players making the move from Camp Nou to Serie A as part of the transfer. Pina, who is also president of Granada, said: "Alexis has decided to play in Spain and now the matter is practically closed."
kaka_messi
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spurs sign ex-Barca youngster Tottenham have confirmed the signing of former Barcelona youngster Cristian Ceballos after he impressed in a trial at the end of last season. Ceballos shot to fame four years ago when he was filmed juggling a ball with then Barca star Ronaldinho, but he did not progress as well as the Primera Liga champions had liked and they released him from his contract last season. The 18-year-old trained with Chelsea in March and visited Spurs' training ground towards the end of last season for a trial and his performances at Chigwell were good enough to lead the Spurs hierarchy, including Harry Redknapp, to offer the teenager a contract. Ceballos, who can play as an attacking midfielder or forward, will now go in to the club's development squad. Spurs' technical co-ordinator Tim Sherwood said: "Cristian trained hard and showed some real quality when he originally spent time here towards the end of last season and was even involved in some of the first-team training. "There was other interest in him too. He needs to be patient and if he can fulfil his potential we believe he can play at the top level." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Napoli make United proposal Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says he has offered Manchester United one million euros to play his side in a friendly game. The proposal - worth £880,000 - is for United to play at the San Paolo stadium in Naples. The Serie A outfit want to raise their international profile and hope the English champions will accept the invitation. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, De Laurentiis said: "I have offered Manchester United one million euros to come here and play a friendly against Napoli. I am awaiting a reply. "My aim is to bring Napoli to be among the top teams, not just in Italy, but at international level. "There is a lot of work to be done." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inler makes Napoli move Swiss midfielder on move; Zapata and Sanchez could be next Gokhan Inler has finally completed his move from Udinese to Napoli following a protracted transfer saga. The Switzerland international has been linked with a switch to Naples for much of the summer, but has been forced to bide his time as negotiations have dragged on. A deal has now been struck and the 27-year-old has agreed personal terms with his new employers. It is reported that a €12million (£10.6m) fee has changed hands, with Inler expressing his delight at securing a move he has been looking to make for some time. He wrote on his personal website: "Hello to you all, this is Gokhan Inler, the Warrior of Naples. How do you like that? Yes, you heard that right: I have signed a contract and will move to Napoli. "I'm excited, very excited. And I'm so very happy. I can't wait to get to know Mr Mazzarri, the staff and my new team-mates, so many great stars who give their all every day. And so my promise is this: I will give everything for the shirt of Napoli, in every training session and every game. "I have chosen Napoli to win and fulfil my dreams: the dream of the Scudetto, the dream of the Champions League and the Italian Cup. Everything. Just everything. "True, the negotiations went on for quite a while, but it was worth it. "I have crowned my dream and for this I have to thank Napoli president De Laurentiis. My agent, Dino Lamberti, comes from Naples and he knows what it means to grow up with Napoli and the myth of Maradona. It's so spectacular!" With Inler having made his way through the exits at Udinese, coach Francesco Guidolin has expressed his fear that there may be further departures to come. Cristian Zapata and Alexis Sanchez are both attracting plenty of interest and could soon be on their way out of Stadio Friuli. Guidolin said: "I am happy that our players are followed by important clubs. "However, I would love for them to remain in Friuli. But whatever happens, I will be happy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ferguson gives up on Nasri Sir Alex Ferguson believes Samir Nasri could leave Arsenal, but not to join Manchester United. The United manager spoke to the press shortly after arriving in Boston for the start of the club's pre-season tour of the United States. With Paul Scholes now retired, Ferguson is on the look-out for a replacement, with Nasri, Wesley Sneijder and Luka Modric all being linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford. Nasri has also been connected with Manchester City, with both they and United said to have bid around £20million for the France midfielder. But Ferguson hinted that if he is leaving the Emirates this summer, it could be to the other side of Manchester. "I don't think he is coming to United," he said. "That is all I can tell you. I think that he has agreed to go somewhere else." Nasri has gone on tour with Arsenal to Malaysia and manager Arsene Wenger believes he will still be at the club next season. But the French boss also indicated that he may keep the player for the final year of his contract and risk losing him on a free transfer in 12 months' time. "That is his decision," said Ferguson. "He is the manager. "If he stands by that decision, it is a brave one. "I don't know if the (Arsenal) directors will enjoy that one, but it is possible. Maybe he will have to stay." "I do have a feeling that Inler, Zapata and Sanchez will not play for us next season but the team will soon be confirmed." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gunners tie up Gervinho Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the signing of Gervinho from Lille. The Ivorian forward has been locked in talks with the Gunners over the past week after the two clubs agreed a deal earlier in the month. Now he has finalised his move from the French champions, according to Wenger, who revealed the news as Arsenal set down in Malaysia ahead of their Asian tour. Gervinho did not travel with Arsenal as part of their initial group and it remains to be seen whether he will link up with the squad. Gervinho is Arsenal's second signing of the summer following on from the capture of youngster Carl Jenkinson. +++++++++ source-hshshs Edited July 12, 2011 by kaka_messi

vignesh90
So he says Nasri isn't leaving. "Samir's situation is clear for me - he stays," "I've told you that we are in a position where we can say 'No.' And we will [in the case of Nasri]." For some reason, I have a good feeling about this. I think he might just stay. However, Cesc situation is still left hanging by the boss.
