hope
Arsenal having to play a demanding mid-week game doesn't really help either. United are gonna be fresh and whatever points you just mentioned are going to be all the more difficult to execute Actually arsenal should play care free football.Nothing is going their way anyways.red cards, injuries, players leaving thus the best option is to play freely and dont worry about the result. Mel81x
That is the wrong attitude to take. Remember that even if they did have a tough mid-week game schedule, that's really no excuse to say "its okay we'll drop points at OT and pick them back up at the Emirates". This is who they are going to be competing for at the top bracket of the table and I think that two days is enough for them to bring back at least 50% of their gameplay. It's not just about disrupting play, its also about being smart in possession and no matter how much possession the opposition has, the ball has to come to Arsenal at some point and that is where they need to maximize their advantage. Its hard to imagine them being so broken but this is the deck of cards they have been dealt and Wenger and the team need to realize that its step-up-to-the-plate time. Don't fall behind like Spurs and lose momentum because teams like United can smell that and then its game over.

Mel81x
hoping for a game not a blitzreig. I still think we should have picked up Moutinho when we were hunting but we got Meirelles which is just as good. Im waiting for a better and more conclusive source before going gaga. No major newspapers(l'euipe, canal+ etc) of france have spoken about the transfer in the last few days, I really hope that I am wrong buy until some major media house also picks up the story the transfer is nowhere near to completion... Mel81x
Kleber is too slow in the front imo and needs to be replaced. That last ball could have gone past Mascherano and ended up in the goal. I am happy with this game so far. But then again there is the second half and Barca seem more likelier to score. Most Arsenal transfers are quiet till it happens. You just have the odd reports here and there. The news Im talking about broke just sometime back, apparently. I havent seen first hand information, so I dont know yet. If someone is on twitter, following the right people, they might just get the news. Mel81x
Game over. All credit to Barca for the second goal. This Porto side is not bad at all but what they lack is a striker. Kleber is too indecisive to make anything out of a glimpse of a chance.

KWC
Fabregas deserves all the trophies he can get, he is a world class player. He just came into the Arsenal team at the wrong time.

He just came into the Arsenal team at the wrong time. exactly. had he come in the team 5-6 years earlier, then it wld have been really tough for United to win the league all those years. just think of it. Gilberto, Viera n Fabregas in the middle with Pires, Henry n Bergkamp as front 3. opposition teams wld have crapped in their shorts just hearing Arsenal's name.
