Chelsea fans are going though what we went through last season but the real question is what do they do now? If Gus comes back to do some kind of patch work it will get them through this season but the damage will be far higher in the next season imho.

And is it just me or are the smaller teams/newly promoted teams doing better defensively in this first half of the season?

Very good game tonight. Had asked my mom to record the game for me and I watched it after coming back from the airport. I thought Skrtel had the best game in a Liverpool shirt since the game against Manchester City in the 2008-09 season :majesty:. Johnson scored a magnificient goal and I liked how Bellamy and Rodriguez played.

Btw, I still do not understand Roman Abramovich. I mean he fired Avram Grant despite Chelsea winning the PL and reaching the finals of the Champions League in his 1st season. Then, he removed Ancelotti just because Chelsea came 2nd. No club can perform well on a constant basis if the managers get fired for not achieving perfection each and every season. AVB seems to have got his formations and line-up all wrong. Why would he not start Meireles against Liverpool :ko: ?

Also, good to see El idiot getting sh*t on by Liverpool fans as we march on against the Blues away from home for the 2nd time in a row :giggle:

Chelsea  They are giving tough competition to Arsenal`s Defense  Pathetic Defending  Chelsea didn't have any game plan whatsoever. Why Drogba played and not Torres :ko: Why doesn't Raul Mereiles play? What is Lampard`s Role? Why Mata Doesnt play in the hole behind the strikers?AVB needs to be tough now and let their stars sit out on the bench while he plays the right personal. No midfield,no attack,no plan. What is AVB trying to Play :ko:

Liverpool  They played as a team :gunsmilie: Adams finally delivered,Suarez and Kuyt :majesty: Great Performance :wOOtjumpy:

Gazza should have come to united when Fergie wanted him.

Boss would have set him right.

He was on his way to Man U but somehow the then spurs chairman(forgot his name) managed to convince him to come to Tottenham...though the wages were nowhere near what Man U offered...

Also his drinking problems started after he left he Spurs...dont think fergie wanted him then...

+1

He needed stricter management. The skill that man had just went to waste and he has only himself to blame.

Yeah. A good manager can be a huge difference to a borderline psycopath genius.

Gazza, Cantona, Rooney, and now Balotelli. Geniuses who could easily go apeshit.

He always had a drinking problem. That Euro '96 celebration is about a drinking problem/ incident of his.

Like most people his problem get aggravated in later years. If he had joined United around 94-95 (i think) he would most probably have had the drinking nipped in the bud.

I'll go on record to state that Andy's problem with drinking is probably a major factor in his poor form right now. Although most players in the game are a lot more controlled today than they were in the early 80s going towards the turn on the century. I wouldn't say stop drinking but if it turns into a problem like Gazza's it needed stricter mentoring and he never got that which is why he fizzled.
