Squad is super awesome right now... And btw @hope - Do u follow clubs or players?? o.O I have never seen someone who wants arsenal to do well & also wants torres at cfc to do well + gerrard of liv too.. If a player does well then the club also does, they r not independent events... So how the f**k can u want arsenal, chelsea and liverpool - all 3 of them to do well... U truly r one of a kind... AVB is an idiot...Period! His tactics are OMG FAILZ!!! His starting team, his substitutions, his timing of substitutions, his tactics, his formations, blah blah blah.... are despicable!! It aches yur heart when yur team is leading and then suddenly Lampard is taken out, Sturridge is taken out, Mikel is subbed in, and Torres put on the wings... and then the lead is gone and match is lost!! Something is wrong with him...! He has made a fortress into a brothel... And Luiz has become like a high school player for some reason ever since AVB has come... He was not like this... Lampard is forced to play out of position... he is that man who will most certainly find himself in a shooting zone if played in his position.. and once the goal and ball is in his sights, we know what happens!! Not playing him often and in right position is the problem... not him! And Mata has by far been the best player for Chelsea.. be it last 2 games or last 20 games... Mata is very versatile.. Even though he is best suited behind the striker, he fits in perfectly on wings when asked to!! Drogba didnt start against fulham, but was tormenting the fulham defense for the last 20minutes when he got subbed in... He is a finisher, and a very good one at that, but doesn't assist a lot, and definitely isn't a playmaker, or a winger. At Pool, Gerrard used to feed the ball to his legs, wherever Torres stood. (Similar to the one Carroll got, which he goofed up)... At Chelsea, the style is different, each player likes to hold on to the ball, look around and take their own time and pass. So when the ball reaches Torres, he still has to do some work to get into striking distance, which imo he lacks. Chelsea aren't slow, but they play differently to what Torres was used to at Pool.... Agree with what you said about the Torres style of play But the problem is ball never reaches to Torres when he wants it.If you would have watched the games carefully,you would see many times Torres Waving hands for the pass but it never arrives for him to do something with the ball,so the problem is solely the service and the movement. Watch arsenal play,all the time they have someone to pass to to keep the ball moving.Whereas Chelsea,they go back wards because the mid-field doesnt have good movement and never links from wide or from the middle.There is big empty space between Strikers and Mid-fielders,you would have noticed it too.Mata is perfect to fill that void but AVB doesnt play him in the middle. Torres has more assists this season,it is because of that empty space in the middle.He comes deep to get the ball and sets goal scoring opportunities whereas it should be the mid-field setting up for him.
