The Wolfy among us
Carroll's headers are like hitting the football with a pink feather pillow Oh, and.... Gerrard proved he's world class, Kelly proved he's an academy born star in the making, and the Kop proved that their atmosphere is right up there. Nuff said. Stevie G
Steven Gerrard again He is so so Special Basels Defense was on a vacation yesterday but good to see Bayern advancing and hopefully they avoid both Spanish teams for now . Inter were so unlucky I personally thought Brandao pushed Lucio in the buildup of the goal

'Pranay
Dave Richards accuses Fifa of 'stealing' football from England Premier League chairman Sir Dave Richards has accused Fifa and Uefa of stealing football from the English. At a sports and security conference in Qatar, he suggested to the audience that the world had England to thank for football. "England gave the world football. It gave the best legacy anyone could give. We gave them the game," said Richards. "Then, 50 years later, some guy came along and said, you're liars, and they actually stole it. It was called Fifa." “We started the game and wrote the rules and took it the world Sir Dave Richards, who is also a Football Association board member, was speaking in front of Fifa vice president Prince Ali Bin Hussein of Jordan and International Cricket Council chief executive Haroon Lorgat. He added: "Fifty years later, another gang came along called Uefa and stole a bit more." When suggestions were made that the game could have originated in China, Richards replied in a raised voice: "It started in Sheffield 150 years ago. We started the game and wrote the rules and took it to the world. The Chinese may say they own it but the British own it and we gave it to the rest of the world." The Premier League was quick to distance itself from the comments. PL chairman Sir Dave Richards told Al Jazeera the reason Premier League clubs struggled in Europe is the domestic league is more important No joke but 10 minutes after he gave the speech he fell into a swimming pool while wearing his suit.
