Stevie G Posted April 12, 2012 Report Share Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) lampsy triumphs gerrard in every possible way, be it goals, assists, trophies, matches played, hairstyle, WAG, etc. What those stats dont mention is that Steven Gerrard was more a holding midfielder till 2008 while Lampard was always an attacking midfielder. Also Gerrard can carry a team on his own and play in every position possible and more importantly hes a 1 club man . Not saying Lampard is not good,hes Awesome but you cant compare him to Gerrard ,consider the players he has played with and consider who Gerrard has played with . As for players around and being a one team player, if gerrard is such a one man show, should not he have a lion's share of scoring opportunities for his team, conversely lampard should have had less of scoring chances as he was surrounded by more competent attackers ? This debate is endless, but i would say this, Gerrard has more natural talant than lampard, flair, if you would say but lampsy has made most and more of what he has and thus translated it better on the pitch. oh and LAmpard, even gerrard are infintely better tacklers than the united Ginger.
