Stevie G
Yes it is... Congrats Chelsea fans You guys have acquired a true superstar and the fact that you beat off both Manchester Clubs speaks a lot about Chelsea as a club
lazycod3r
Hulk in all the above mentioned Chelsea squad??? has he signed the blue dotted line??? who else can afford his 60 million+ transfer? Shitty are not in for him and it looks like a done deal for Chelsea. I feel he will be an awesome signing for Chelsea though, as Hazard would have been for Utd Edited May 29, 2012 by lazycod3r

Chelsea was never in the race, it all because of the CL victory that Hazard even considered Chelsea... I feel Hazard made the right move, cos at Chelsea he will get way more play time as compared to either of the Manchester clubs..

Stevie G
Wife?? As in Arsene Wenger?? "Arsenal showed faith in Robin when he was going through a lean time, so we should not repay them by thinking about other clubs," she was quoted as saying in the Sun. "Our home life and our children are happy in London." Van Persie's mother Jose added: "Arsenal love him and that's a great incentive to stay. Arsenal are a fantastic club. They have no debts and Robin is idolised there." Only problem with the quote is it comes from the Sun
lazycod3r
about RVP ... dont say anything guys plz :( . I sense another heartbreak like last summer with Cesc
Mel81x
He won't leave and if he does, I doubt he'd play second fiddle wherever he chooses to go. He's a bigger idol than Cesc at this point and after the season he's had, the club should be looking to get him cohorts that bring in more goals. nautical_j
I agree I think he will stay and see out his career at Arsenal Dont you think its every player's dream to win trophies... If Arsenal continues to focus on playing the "PERFECT FOOTBALL" and not on winning then they will not only lose RVP but all their future stars... Yes, i am looking at you Chamberlain... A few years down the line when RVP is not playing anymore, he would definitely want to flaunt the trophies and medals he has won... Or do you think he is that selfless and would want to repay what the club has done for him? Every player wants to win trophies... Torres was praised and loved at Liverpool... He wanted to win trophies... Fabregas, Nasri... All of them wanted to win trophies... If Arsene does not make some big signings soon, it is only a matter of time before RVP moves on... I think when a player leaves a club for his own ambition the club should just let him go. They are all human after all and if you're not playing for the club (whatever the reasons may be) you should just move. Look at Zlatan, he is the best example of a football mercenary and look at the number of accolades the guy has now. Of course some players see their signings and commitments a bit differently and the fans always adore them for it but you make a valid point of retirement and looking at a trophy cabinet. Still the ego overrides most other things and while Van Persie might be a good captain at Arsenal, I can't see him going to any of the big winning clubs and strutting his tail feather to make them dance to his tune at the moment. armaan
ohh u guyz want Mvila too :( ... leave some good players for Arsenal. Wenger certainly raises the price tag of a few players every summer and then buys a cheap alternative lol you guys dont need anyone in the midfield you saw how good song and arteta were last season n next season u guys will have jack wilshere who is one of the best young midfielders in the world along wit Ramsey and fringpong who is rated quite alot and ryo miyachi who was quite good for bolton......very exciting team arsenal have and for those united fans who dont knw much about kagawa

Yes it is always a players dream to win trophies but for some players loyalty is also very important See Gerrard as an example I believe in RVP and I think he will stay .I think its better he never wins a trophy than he goes to a team like City win a trophy by being on the bench and then he goes out on loan spells here and there .RVP and Arsenal are perfect for each other

Wouldn't it be frustrating for the player? And RVP shouldn't worry about being benched at any club... He is a class act, and yes unlike at Arsenal he will be challenged for starts every other game... Which I feel will only get the best out of him... Also, if RVP continues this goal scoring form, he should not fear being benched as well... And yes, loyalty is important. Does loyalty outweigh dreams? Then again, if RVP decides to stay at Arsenal then

Then again, if RVP decides to stay at Arsenal then The club that has made him everything and the fans that have backed him and supported him all along through injury deserve the best of him when hes in his prime . Even Stevie dreams of winning the premiership everyday but instead of giving up and joining Chelsea he chose to stay and fight for his dream . Its just a matter of time before Arsenal win a trophy again and I want RVP to get them that rather than join Manchester City win the league for a year and then get loaned out . Also Nando leaving was understandable as we were not in the Champions League unlike Arsenal Edited May 29, 2012 by Akai Shuichi
