Stevie G
Rumor Agger has told Rodgers he is happy and does not wish to join City but Ian Ayre has told Rodgers that they will sell if City bid 25 Million Pounds or use Adam Johnson as a makeweight Also a fan asked Agger today if he was leaving and he said Never I personally would not sell Agger for 40 million,if he goes then we should challenge a Top 10 finish next season
armaan
Sir Alex Ferguson says he is persevering in his bid to sign Robin van Persie after losing out on Lucas Moura. With PSG declaring they have won the race to sign Brazilian Lucas for a club record fee, speculation has been rife that the Reds are stepping up attempts to land the Arsenal captain. Although the Gunners would clearly prefer to sell to a club outside of the Barclays Premier League, the boss is hopeful a deal can be struck. "I can't give you any more information," he said when asked about van Persie. "We have made a bid and they've been trying to negotiate with other clubs. We just have to persevere. Hopefully it will come our way. We're trying our best but there's no progress at this moment in time. "I don't have a gut feeling on it at the moment, I must admit. We're not getting any breakthrough with Arsenal. It's difficult to say why they're operating this way. I don't know what their thoughts are because they're not giving anything away." Regarding Lucas' sale from Sao Paulo, it is further evidence that the cash-laden Parisiens mean business in the transfer market. "I find it quite amazing that a club can pay €45million for a 19-year-old boy," Sir Alex continued. "To make a mark on everyone - to tell everyone that PSG are here - they've signed Thiago Silva from Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. "They must have spent about £150m in the last month. As you know, the only deterrent to that is UEFA. In the conditions of European football, you don't qualify for Europe by winning the league or coming second - you only get in by invitation. That's where, hopefully, UEFA can have some power. When somebody's paying £45m for a 19-year-old boy you have to say the game's gone mad." wenger wont sell him to us

If Pool sell him then it would really stupid and would make Shitty's defense almost impregnable. Pool should try to partner Agger with Coates. Stevie G
If he goes to City then City will win the league again .Coates is a fantastic cb but hes more no nonsense like Skrtel and partnering Skrtel with him would not work in Rodgers system
Stevie G
Daniel Agger has sent out a message to his superiors at Liverpool FC by tattooing ‘YNWA’ on his knuckles, as speculation about his future continues to dominate the back pages. The defender sported his new ink in training yesterday, just one day before telling a supporter outside Melwood that he “never” wants to leave the club. FFS Keep him ,we might not get this much money for him in the future but what we might never get is a player who loves the club so mucj
The Wolfy among us
Agger is a fantastic player 25m or not, I don't want to see him leave. It cannot get better than Skrtel and Agger combination. And seeing his devotion to the club, he's right up there with Gerrard and Carra. But what is Rodgers doing saying that he will welcome bids in excess of 25m? He doesn't want to leave, he's a fantastic player, played really well last yr, and yet you are ok with selling him? I hope it doesn't turn into another Xabi saga Please keep Agger. Edited August 9, 2012 by Wolfy ©
Stevie G
We lost Torres we replaced him with Caroll We lost Xabi we replaced him with Aquaman We lost Masch we replaced him with Poulsen We cannot afford to lose Agger at any price. Its fine if we dont sign any more players in the window but instead we sign both our cbs to new 5 year contracts
neoragexx
45m and 200k/week for a kid who's never even played in Europe. I know they are quality but these Brazilian kids are unbelievably over hyped. At this rate Neymar might go for 100m.

The Wolfy among us
But Vermaelen was injured for a lot of games wasn't he? And in that time when Koschielny was the main CB, the other defenders were sh*t, and Song was missed too.. .I dont remember correctly, please forgive me if I am wrong. neoragexx
He's really the biggest hypocrite out there. One of the points he's complaining about, is Arsenal not selling to united. Two points on this. Why would they want to sell their best player to one of their main rivals? The transfer of Heinze springs to mind.
