Stevie G
I know you are joking but he is a very under rated player. But then again he is a defender and English, two disqualifications automatically under Uefa rules. I used cause of the backlash of my choice I am not joking ,I honestly feel that if only Champions League is considered then there was no1 better in the knockout phase .He basically saved Chelsea in Naples when he cleared off the line, then Benfica were nullified .Even Messi could not get the better of him and neither did Robbery .Add to this the brilliant pen in the Final . @akai "According to UEFA, the award "recognise the best player, irrespective of his nationality, playing for a football club within the territory of a UEFA member association during the previous season."[1] Players are judged by their performances in all competitions, domestic and international, and at club and national team levels throughout the season.[1] [edit]" Ronaldo deserved it I say St Iker then
Stevie G
The thng is that Barca can win again as well They genreally have been winning alternate years They dont have Pep this time.Plus with the sheep in goal and the fact that Pique and Puyol are older and the over dependence on them will cost Barca

Cash
Iniesta was pretty good, only Casillas would top him IMO but then again he is a gk and they don't give sh*t about gks. Also united Real Bayern I have a good feeling about this year,if we are all fit. We could end up as the winners.

Cash
Liverpool signed a 18yr old called Samed. (German) Looks like he is a real talent as his previous club fans are making big fuss about the deal.
Stevie G
I expect INs Dempsey Walcott/Sturridge/Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Outs Adam-Stoke mostly Spearing-Bolton mostly Joe Cole-Unikely but still a chance We badly need a striker cause right now we have 2 recognized strikers and Suarez is an awful finisher .I hope we get Sturridge ,I do not want Walcott

Nemo
With 3 surgeries on his knees essien ain't the same force as before as what made him so god like was his physicality. That being said, would want him to go only if we sign a good replacement. I do however negate the assumption that we need a striker. If a big name comes now it will only shatter torres' confidence and unsettle sturridge even more. Have high hopes from both of them. What we need is a decent and experienced front man who won't crib being the third choice, some one like Kevin Doyle. Even if we don't bring a striker I don't see a big problem, worst case scenario, Moses plays a Lone man. Getting a dm is more important now as after mikel we are short of options unless oriol romeou steps up big time.

Nemo
All right on the night for Atlético Madrid's Chelsea-owned keeper Thibaut Courtois faces the club who employ him in the European Super Cup on Friday, but the Blues can expect no favours http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/30/thibaut-courtois-atletico-madrid-chelsea "I was happy that Chelsea won. In Spain, there was a lot of reaction for the way they beat Barcelona, but I said: 'Yeah, what do you want?' Everyone knows how strong Barcelona are and you have to find a way to beat them and Chelsea defeated them. It doesn't count how you play, what counts is the result. Good man.
