gooner4life
Arsenal fans quoting a sore player who got forced out of the Club talking about cheating, Din Arsenal build a statue for certain someone who cheated his way into a worldcup ? edit : and isnt that player voted as "greatest ever" by fans ? You can't really call a player a cheat with just one example & I don't think it matters whether Stam was forced out or not wrt his comments. He says Ferguson encourages diving & you see United players like Nani, Young, Rooney & players like Nistelroy in the past diving a lot. So put 1+1 & it kind of proves what Stam is saying. But in case Stam would have said the same thing but your players weren't exactly doing it on the pitch then you might consider his comments as that of someone who is a bit pissed at SAF. But right now I would say Stam is speaking the truth & the reason why he spoke now is to sell his autobiography, but that doesnt mean he is lying. The Wolfy among us
But the other foot was not towards Evans... Both of Evans' feet are towards Shelvey.
rajprdp
u blind ? cant you see Shelvey's both feet off the ground ? not when he is tackling..his left foot came off the ground for a sec when he was lunching himself to get the ball..his left foot was nowhere near evans and was on ground during the time of impact....Evans through used a two footed tackle and had his studs up...shelvey got the ball and there was not much impact with evans. just have a look at the tackle closely..shelvey got the ball and his boots where side footed and there was minimal contact with evans Edited September 25, 2012 by rajprdp
Keano
how does that matter ? two feet off the ground, no contact to the ball - OFF
gooner4life
u blind ? cant you see Shelvey's both feet off the ground ? LOL! Are you really serious?! Shelvey's both feet were off the ground for just a fraction of the time & even then he was only using 1 feet for the tackle, other feet didn't even touch Evans! Whereas it was Evans who had both feet off the ground & his tackle is the kind of tackle which breaks legs because the tackler is using the whole weight of his body behind the tackle & can't change the direction at the last moment unlike Shelvey's tackle which was 1 footed. Both Evans & RVP's tackles were worse than Shelvey's tackle & both deserved to be sent off & not only that but Evans tackle inside the penalty box should also have resulted in a penalty. Poor & very biased refereeing IMO.
Keano
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r66PYVjrjrY there you go .. stop posting a gif which is just showing the tackle from one angle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9SkTHIgDgI 00:22-00:25 --> Evans kicked the ball on to Shelveys feet. take off ABU glasses and you can see it too
gooner4life
How does it matter whether Evans kicked the ball on to Shelveys feet or not?! It was a 2 footed tackle with studs showing - it will be a straight red in anyone's book. either both are red or neither of them are. Also Shelvey's tackle wasn't a high challenge, you should look at the original point of contact of his foot which was around ankle level but then his foot slided slightly upwards after the impact, doesnt make it a high challenge though. Maybe you should remove your biased MU glasses to see that Evans deserved to be sent off to, probably more than Shelvey & not to say that ref should have also given a pen to liv + red card to RVP. rajprdp
those video shows the same thing as my gif but only in low resolution and crappy angles...even on those crappy quality videos its clear than shelvey went one footed and evans made two footed tackle. And after he contacted the ball, Evans din catch Shelvey in the follow through while Shelvey caught Evans.

gooner4life
No point in debating further, even Gary Neville was saying it was either both red or both yellow.. But for United fans it is always the opposition player who should be sent off & it's always you who should get the penalty.. No surprise that United is the team with most penalties(14) since the start of last season. Bunch of divers & cheaters and nothing else. I also liked Shelvey's reaction towards SAF after the sending off.. Hamesha sideline pe baithke bak bak bak bak karta rehta hai buddha & instruction deta rehta hai assistant ref ko! gooner4life
One of the instances which have come to my mind in which it was a blatant penalty against United but wasnt given. Just look at 2.11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sUH3IKiYlg

I couldn't understand the part next to the bold one as I dont understand hindi, but judging from your other posts can say its something against United/Fergie.
