He would be made a scapegoat for their performance but I don't think he was responsible for any of the signings Chelsea made or didn't make. Any decent manager can see they are lacking in the CF department.. Piling up on wingers & attacking midfielders in the squad doesn't compensate for a CF. I dont think you can really say he wasnt responsible. All the signing are top class players and will come to use highly in the coming years. Maybe he dint get a deal for a striker.
