Cash
Yeah, the ones you mentioned would've played a role in him asking for a move to us. I am just surprised with the negativity surrounding Fellaini's transfer is just ridiculous, considering he din even play for us even once. I dont think many mind him coming to OT. The problem was how the whole transfer period was spent. Edit - like bidding for almost every midfielder out there before getting him. Also there was something about his release clause being lesser if we had bid earlier apparently we could have saved around 10m. Also we bid for Fabregas, Thiago, Khedira, Herrera, Baines. Thats 5 players and only Herrera was the only who we bid properly. I blame Ed woodward not Moyes. SyLaRzV
MOURINHO: “I did not accept Arsenal’s offer for Demba Ba because added to their signing of Ozil, they would have been title contenders.” 2 weeks after saying he wouldn't mind selling to a rival. LOLinho so seeing as ur going by his words, he kept u outta title race just by doing wat...ummm nothing LOL mourinho would be the one LoLing at arsenal right now Edited September 4, 2013 by SyLaRz

Going public about transfers(Fabregas situation) is something that United never did in past. Woodward has been decent in bringing in new sponsors, but when it comes to player transfers Edited September 4, 2013 by Keano
Cash
Exactly. And when you talk about Fabregas, Khedira, Thiago, Sneijder and then bring in Fellaini. Its natural to get dissapointed.
dharmin
Apparently, Fellaini sacrificed his loyalty bonus 4million odd to sign for us, thats pretty impressive in this day and age. Gotta say, hes won me a bit over this. Its the kind of gesture I love to see, players who actually love and want to play for us (like RVP). Remember how everyone looked at Carrick, Evra and Vidic signings in 2006 and go wtf? I think this will be the same. I think he will give us the steel and drive we need from midfield, let Carrick and others do their thing and hopefully we will finally unleash Kagawa. not true i think . I agree with your last point, but i wished moyes would have signed him earleir if fellaini is what he wanted. http://www.goal.com/en-my/news/3890/england/2013/09/04/4237076/fellaini-did-not-pay-4m-of-manchester-united-transfer-fee-insist-

LeonardoInventions
Apparently, Fellaini sacrificed his loyalty bonus 4million odd to sign for us, Huh how? I thought that's only possible once you submit a written transfer request. Then you are not entitled to that LB. But He didn't submitted any such request, or did he? gooner4life
He did submit a written transfer request.. Everton has already clarified that United will pay all of Fellaini's 27.5m transfer sum & none of it will come from the player. United have been trying to do damage control over Fellaini/Ozil/Herrera issues but are failing miserably.

Nemo
@ Barcelona transfers. What a ch**t info-graphic with even more ludicrous information. In '13 alone Barca have spent 70 mn euros. This table does not include Bojan's buy back frm Roma for 22 mn eu. As for the second graph, notice how casually the chart fails to mention the time period taken into consideration for the bars ? is the information for 2010-13 seasons ? 2011-13, 34 BC-2013 AD ? what ?? 12/13 season- barca splurged 33 million EU on Alba and Song. 11/12- 60 million euros on sanchez and fabregas. 10/11- 72.5 million euros. Affellay, Mascherano, Villa, Adriano. 09/10- 113 million euros. Zlatan, Maxwell, Keirrison, Chygrynskiy. Now including 2013's moves, these are the spendings in last 5 seasons. Yup, homegrown flavor indeed. _ Edited September 5, 2013 by Nemo
