great match

in 2nd half City's defence was solid, liverpool missed lots of great chances specially sterling

i will say it was a fair result, liverpool was great but city grabbed the chances when given

as i said couple of days ago liverpool lacks quality to win title, they have best striker of EPL but need one top quality mid fielder to challenge for title

Worst case scenario, Liverpool lose to Chelsea on Sunday. We'll be 6 points off the top at the halfway stage.

But point to be noted here is, 6 points off the top, having played 6 of the 7 traditionally top sides in the EPL away from home. (played only ManU at home).

I'll take that gladly. It'll be an interesting campaign in 2014. :good:

Calendar year table(38 games) : AFC 82, CFC 77, MCFC 77, MUFC 75, Scum 73, LFC 72, EFC 67

So we finish the year as the best & most consistent team of 2013. Hopefully same can be said after season ends.

Over the past months (maybe years ?) i have seen arsenal fans use multiple, different forms and view points (from which to look at) of the BPL table.

- calendar year

- only away matches

- only home matches

- no penalties

- no red cards

- only lunar nights

- only days when snoop dog/lion doesnt smoke weed

- games without counting goals from striker

- games counting only goals from striker

- no goals from outside the box

??

basically everything BUT the actual mid august to mid april (?) format of the BPL table.

I wonder why

Yup all of them arsenal, chelsea, city, spurs have to come to anfield in the new year. Aint gonna find it easy. I'm starting to move from thinking "whether we'll be able to keep this up" to "this is the norm" about our style of play, couple of good signings in jan like last one and who knows.

Cant help but feel if sturridge had been there last night, we'd have won by a good margin. And its good that Moses will not be eligible for the next match, he's god awful. As soon as we sign someone to play on the wings he'll be off.

The last three times Liverpool have been top at Christmas, they have failed to win the title (90-91, 96-97, 08-09).

Gerrard may never win league title with Liverpool. :(
