Oh snap ! Arbeloa should have been sent off and Athletico were denied a clear penalty for stomping Costa in the penalty box and you are saying refs favour Barcelona :clapping:

Thank the ref for saving your team from a red card and a penalty.

And can't blame the ref on Vela's chance , the hand pulling is not clearly visible and you are implying that he got a red card just because he was playing against Barcelona

u mean this ?

no card for mascherano even though he was a last man and brought down vela in box and straight red for martinez

since when players started getting straight red card for protesting

@NGF : For some inane reason I'm not able to quote you ...

That pic was while during the course of play and not inside the box , I was referring to this voluntary stomping on Costa , Penalty + Red Card for sure (Lucky Escape thanks to the ref).Apparently he also got away with shirt pulling and a kick on Costa's face

Again you are repeating what you said earlier , that penalty was not visible unless you view from that angle and it might not have been given even if it was Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad , and about that red card ... , If a player can get 3 match ban for mocking a ref , he is bound to get a red for abuse. Neither I nor you know what he said during his protest so stop being a jerk about it. If the club which you support loses a match , be a man and have the balls to say that the players didn't play well enough rather than whining on the linesmen , refs ... etc

Anyway I don't think continuing this argument will go well , so let's agree to disagree on this issue and support our respective clubs ... :)

CHELSEA WIN PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK AWARD

Our 1-0 win away against Manchester City has been judged the best display by any team in all four divisions in the past week by the League Managers Association.

A panel comprising Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry made the decision and Jose Mourinho will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation tomorrow at Cobham. Branislav ivanovic's winner ended Man City's previously impeccable home record in the Barclays Premier League this season, and we became the first team to prevent them scoring in a home league match since November 2010.
