Ryan Giggs, one of the very few in the Manchester United ranks I will always have immense respect for. :majesty: Thank you.... :majesty:

If you ask me which Manchester United player most deserved to be called Mr. Manchester United, it will have to be Giggs! Scholes comes in a close second.

Glad to see Moyes gone. Cant think of many positives from last season besides de Gea's improvement, Januzaj's development and the addition of Mata.

really glad that they appointed LVG before the world cup and Giggsey getting the Asst Manager role.

Reading so many crazy things about Van Gaal on twitter since earlier today  . Cant wait for the next season !

edit : crazy SOB

He can be a phenomenon and can be the worst enemy of one own's club at the same time. Good manager though with a magnificent brand of football and can get the best out of his players effortlessly. However he also can very likely start argument over very trivial matters and has often clashed with players/staff who's ego was as big as his.

But yes, United are getting a very good manager.

yeah, his way of playing football is something every United fan will look forward to. We need to sign some good players. Cleverley, Young, Fellaini are not good enough.

Okay this is not good

Daniel Agger has told the Danish press of his frustration at not playing some of Liverpool's key games but says he is not thinking about his future

Asked how it was to miss out on the games against Chelsea and Man City, Agger is quoted as saying: "It definitely wasn't great. But I don't make the decisions. I think it is because the manager doesn't think that I'm good enough.

Questioned on whether he would be at Liverpool next season, Agger added: "I don't know. That's up to the manager. I can't go and put myself on the team sheet.

Asked if he could live with being third choice in the Liverpool hierarchy, the 29-year-old said: "No, I'm no one's third choice.
"I'm not thinking about my future. Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark and then I'm looking forward to a long five-week holiday.

"My body and my mind needs to relax."

He's going this summer isn't he?? :samui:

Benedict Cumberbatch is an Arsenal fan! Always came across as a smart guy in his interviews, no surprise he follows Arsenal.

Monsieur Wenger isn’t the only Arsenal man with a magic hat. Sometime wizard Sir Ian McKellen arrived on stage in full Gunners mufti at a gala evening at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park last night. And also showing his true colours was Benedict Cumberbatch, who has been accused of being a Chelsea fan.

Not so, he told The Londoner. “I’m an Arsenal fan but I haven’t made it to the Emirates this season,” he admitted, saying he’d been rather busy. The problem arose after he was photographed at Stamford Bridge for a Chelsea match. But “I was with friends,” he protested.

So..hmm..what?

Yaya Toure considering leaving Manchester City 'because the club failed to wish him happy birthday'

If they don't respect him then easy - Yaya will leave

It is more important he plays for a club that respects him more than having a few thousand pounds added to his salary

But Dimitri Seluk says Toure is "very upset" the club's owners failed to acknowledge him personally and says he may leave over their lack of respect.

"None of them shook his hand on his birthday. It's really sick," he said.

City declined to comment officially but BBC Sport understands club officials are not too alarmed by Seluk's claims. Seluk also claimed Toure was unhappy last summer, shortly before he signed a new four-year contract. Seluk says Toure did not expect a present after turning 31 on 13 May but was unhappy at being ignored by the club's wealthy owners when the squad arrived in the United Arab Emirates last week to celebrate their Premier League title triumph.

"He got a cake but when it was Roberto Carlos's birthday, the president of Anzhi gave him a Bugatti," Seluk told BBC Sport.

"I don't expect City to present Yaya with a Bugatti, we only asked that they shook his hand and said 'we congratulate you'. It is the minimum they must do when it is his birthday and the squad is all together.

"I hear one newspaper has written that City congratulated him from Twitter but this is a joke. It is better they don't put anything on Twitter if they are not saying anything to him.

"The club's owners ate a 100kg cake after winning the Premier League this season but when they and the players were all together, none of them shook his hand on his birthday. It shows they don't care about him.

"Of course Yaya is upset about this. It is his birthday and nobody said anything or shook his hand, so he does not feel comfortable.

Toure signed a four-year contract with City last summer but Seluk, who has represented Toure for more than a decade, insists he could leave if they continue to "disrespect" him. Seluk is adamant he is not looking to negotiate an improved contract for Toure, saying: "No. Money is not important. He has enough money.

"The most important thing is a human relationship and maybe this is his opportunity for Yaya to find that. If City don't respect him, then easy - Yaya will leave. No problem.

"It is more important he plays for a club that respects him more than having a few thousand pounds added to his salary.

"I have spoken to him about leaving and we will see what happens, but, at the moment, Yaya is really upset."

It is not the first time either Torue or his agent have claimed the player does not get the respect he deserves. In a recent interview for the BBC, Toure felt he was not regarded as one of the best players in the world because he is from Africa.

"To be honest, proper recognition has only come from the fans," he said. "I don't want to be hard and I don't want to be negative, but I want to be honest."

Don't really understand why do agents get blamed for whenever a player does something stupid. At the end of the day, agents can only do those things which players allow them do.

And if a player has got nothing to do with such a thing then he should sack his agent afterwards but most of the times they don't because most of the times they give their consent for such things.

As for this particular case, it's quite clear Toure is trying to take benefit of the FFP sanctions levied against City. They can't sign many players for CL, so they have to retain most of their squad & Toure might get a raise because of his 'unhappiness'. The only problem is that he has chosen a stupid excuse to do it & it will most probably work against him & he will have to backtrack in the end without a raise. If he had chosen a good reason(which he might have had if City wouldn't have won the league this season), then he might have gotten a raise for sure. It's all about the money for most football players.

Then you probably don't know what scummy underhand tactics these agents employ many times without the consent of their players or without them knowing anything in the first place. Don't forget agents get a pretty hefty sum too whenever these deals happen and the hidden costs that are associated with it (clauses, VAT etc etc) so they try every scheme at hand to get that nice payday.

Maybe Toure would've wanted a raise but I doubt & wouldn't be surprised if he knows nothing about this "disappointment"
