^ 'twas just a minor thing & nothing serious. Thankfully it went well and he'd be there for the WC.

Bellers retires :sadbye:

Cardiff forward Craig Bellamy has announced his retirement from football at the age of 34

Bellamy said: "It's been on my mind to finish playing for the last couple of years, but this time I've had to make a decision. I've had to listen to my body.

"I guess over the years I've become accustomed to the pain from various injuries, but for the last three to four years I've been on anti-inflammatories every day.

"I'm not sure my body will think that's a wise thing in due course, but it kept me playing for that period.

"However, the time has come to stand aside and say enough. My body can't take any more.

"When Cardiff got promoted, it was the sense of achievement with my home-town club that meant most to me, rather than being able to play another season in the Premier League.

"I had performed at that level for 12 years anyway. The goal of getting Cardiff up there meant more to me than actually playing there again myself.

"But I spoke to Malky Mackay and he talked me around for one last challenge. I wasn't sure I could offer too much."

Fantastic talent and a great character :sadbye:

Sagna..... :( Please don't go! It's Guardian, so we can't even rubbish that as a rumor. :wallbash:

An amazing RB... And his performance was phenomenally crucial for us this season. He could've stayed a couple of seasons more. At least until Carl J would've developed completely. Will be missed a lot.....

Well, don't go to ManC at least :ack:

BC what the hell is going on today

David Luiz to move to Paris Saint-Germain after Chelsea agree £40million fee making him the most expensive defender ever

Chelsea have agreed to sell David Luiz to Paris St Germain for a fee which could approach £40million, and may make the shaggy-haired Brazilian the most expensive defender in the world.[/size]

The two clubs are currently in negotiations over the precise fee but the London club are satisfied the offer from PSG will be too valuable to turn down, and have agreed in principle to the sale, which both sides would like to conclude this weekend. Barcelona have also been in talks to sign the player, which has driven up the fee.

Luiz, 26, joined Chelsea from Benfica for £21million in 2011. He will play alongside his international teammate Thiago Silva in Paris.

PSG may return later in the summer with bids for Oscar and Eden Hazard. If the offer is as generous as the one for Luiz, they are prepared to sell at least one of them.
