hazard12345
'The proposed £34m transfer for the 18-year-old Luke Shaw to Manchester United is another example of something which has a bad long-term impact,' he said. 'Clubs are priced out of this market which is why they go abroad for cheap options - they’re not better players. 'For a left-back to be worth £34m shows how silly the game has gone. For that money I want a centre-forward who’s going to score 30 goals a season. : paul scholes Edited June 26, 2014 by hazard12345
piper
Let's see how those rumours about moving to Barca or some other club pan out now. Also, shame on all those defending his actions. You can defend him as a player and as a person but ffs don't say "He didn't bite", or "He is being victimised because of his past", or "England+Italy media pressure has caused the ban".
sensevil
Just a little update on the Herrera situation and our bid supposedly "being rejected". The deal is still going to go through. Athletic Bilbao did the same thing with Javi Martinez when he was going to Bayern and with Llorente when he was going to Juventus. Essentially Bilbao rejecting our bid means nothing, we dont have to have a bid accepted by them when we've met the release clause, thats why Herreras gone to the LFP. Bilbao are holding out for a €1.4m fee that is entitled to Zaragoza, as they are responsible for training the player in his youth. The notion is that Herrera will have to buy himself out of his contract and pay that fee (just like Javi Martinez did) to complete the deal. Very complicated stuff because Herrera may also have to be careful not to incur any tax violations, so may have to take a wage reduction. United will give Herrera the necessary amount for the deal to go through. If we get the deal done, Woodward should get a lot of credit, because dealing with Bilbao can be a pain in backside. (Just ask Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummennigge) they are very troublesome with the transfer of their players because they only buy Basque born players, so to replace Herrera is going to be almost impossible. Apart from these minor difficulties (poor attempt at sarcasm), the deal will still go through. SkySports have also reiterated that Ander Herrera will still be a United player. Hopefully we can get it done, sooner rather than later. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk
