As I said above benatia has been one of the best defenders in Europe .It isn't necessarily that he should play in champions league finals to be rated as best defender . Suarez didn't play in champions league but still was rated among top 10 players(8th place) in Europe (He should be in top 5) . We started well with friendlies and just lost the first league game by a narrow margin ... The team is playing a new formation and added to this the injury to 6 first team players ... Mourinho is not stupid you know.. he definitely saw something wrong which the world did not (including us blues). Of course Mata has quality which he will showcase this season & many others by getting a few killer balls & goals in.. but in no way he is the same Mata. Something is definitely off about him. Instead of discussing football many guys are just trying to pull the other teams/members down. On topic, pool played well today. With the current formation Gerard seems to have a lot of room with Lucas backing him up. Sterling played well. Seems the experience he has got playing at many positions is helping him.
