younussm
Very important couple of results for everyone else in the title race (read Man City). Chelsea were running away with the title and I feared it would have been over by January or something. The gap is now 6 with Man City having a game in hand. Whatever start it may be but Chelsea have proven time and time again they can't maintain the same form which they have during the first quarter of the season . They have won big in the past. Like during 2006 when they had an 8 point margin, and during 2005 they won a 12 point margin. Both times under Jose. TheHitman
That's why the Invincibles are so special. There were what 1-2 teams which could really challenge them at the time unlike now where are the top 8 are pretty good.

gooner4life
There were what 1-2 teams which could really challenge them at the time unlike now where are the top 8 are pretty good. It's not just about today vs 10 years back. No one has been able to remain unbeaten for the whole season for a century in english football apart from Arsenal's 03-04 squad. Competition might have been easier in 2003-04 than it is now but it was probablyeven easier when Liverpool dominated for 2 decades in 80s & 90s or any other time before that. Even Ferguson who single handedly dominated English football for 2 decades wasn't able to come close to this feat, despite playing in the same exact era as Arsenal's invincibles. Invincibles is one record which no team can better, it can only match it at best & that itself will be difficult to achieve. That team was special, there is no doubt about it & much better than current Chelsea team, which have been slightly overrated just because of their great start.
gooner4life
How is this not a red for assault? It is a clear f**king chokehold!! We might have atleast drawn the game, if not for that stupid bald c*nt of a referee. Never thought I would again see a worse ref performance after opening day game vs Villa but I think this one was even worse. And guess who was the ref even then? - Anthony f**king Taylor!!! I would say that winning the treble or quadruple ranks higher than going undefeated in the league. Arsenal lost in the quarter finals in CL 2003 didn't they? Arsenal lost in the quarter finals in CL 2003 didn't they? More teams have won trebles than remain unbeaten in the last century, It's not just about a few odd decades, a century is quite a long time. Since it's so tough to achieve, I think it should rank higher on achievement. 1 slip, 1 bad day in a season & you aren't able to achieve it. You can have a lot of bad days & still win a treble. It's like playing 38 finals in a season & not losing any of them.

Going undefeated whole is season is really difficult (almost impossible in modern era) but its definitely not bigger achievement than winning treble. Yes u can lose some matches still team can win treble but winning CL is big thing than INvincibles Yes current chelsea team is overrated just like everything else in EPL. Chelsea did not even created a single clear cut chance before newcastle goal. Same thing happened against sunderland. gooner4life
Fans who behave like that towards a legend of football like AW(not just Arsenal) are f**king idiots. They are too thick in the head to understand that most of what Arsenal is right now is because of that one man named AW.
