What happened to Chelsea in the last season?

I think they won the league the year before that...

No one knows exact reason. That Eva thing might have caused internal rifts. Jose 3rd season syndrome too. Also general unfit players, fatigue and complacency also might have caused it. Look at Leicester now. They are on 15th and they won the league last year too.

I hope Costa,Kante and Hazard get injured for a while maybe then we can see if they can win it or not :) Zlatan is also not far away from an Injury :)

Let people see how hard is it when your first team players get injured and we will see where you finish. You will know the Arsenal pain then :)

Leicester is a one-time thing. You will see them again winning the title again, sadly. They were (below) average team and they are playing just like that.

Giroud's goal was something else. The amount of shite he gets, he still puts in double digit every year despite not being called as world class striker.

Hoping for other players to get injured is just...disgusting. It's not just sport. When injured player goes through both physical and mental battle. Some of them don't ever recover again. What happens to Arsenal players, I don't know, but every time I come up across their injury report or stat, it just feels sad.

My main point was, lets see if you can win the title if your first team players are injured?Arsenal gets the stick for not winning but nobody sees the amount of injuries we get every freakin year.

Not all teams depend on just 1 or 2 players to win them every game..

For e.g. in United, if Zlatan is unable to play, then we have Rashford/Rooney.. There is depth across all positions.. Unlike teams like Arsenal who depend only on Sanchez/Ozil and despite having giroud, they prefer to play Sanchez as striker and ramsey on the wings

And so does every team, including the top dogs like Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Dortmund, City, etc,.

That's what team is about. It's not about relying on same 11 players for an entire season. You develop your squad, create depth. The above teams don't even miss when their top players are injured. They still play like no one is missing on the pitch. Robben & Ribéry have not played a full season in years now. Bayern will perform world class. Both domestic and Europe. They purchased Costa and

Arsenal lacks depth. They rely on same players and those players cannot just perform world-class week in-week out. You just cannot expect that without injuring them.

Current injury list:

Arsenal - Welbeck (since May), Mertesacker (since July), Cazorla (since Oct), Debuchy (since Nov). Now if you look at this, you can clearly see that Arsenal is doing JUST fine without them. These players didn't even play this season enough to warrant any title shot.

Mertesacker is just too slow and old now. Yes he works, but you have good centre backs. Bellerín has been better than Debuchy. Cazorla is Cazorla.

It's your squad problem. 29 players and yet no depth because there are no good backup options. Top players like Özil who never show up during big games, relying on same old strikers and expect different results. How long will it take before they finally replace Walcott?

I'm just waiting for Sánchez to finally realise and leave Arsenal.
