Just as sheva was for us. they both are geniuses (sheva much more though) but something did not work barthez cant't be called a failure.he was eccentric,and prone to some bad errors now and then but never a failure as such after all he did play a good 3 years for united winning a couple of titles along the way.as for sheva's transfer to chelsea,less the said the better.
