L33TWiZaRd
Loved the way Ricardo just charged into Franco and rugby tackling him into the ground even though the ball was no where near him. (No Foul/Penalty) The Linesmen in the EPL suck big time. The ref asking Lampard to retake the penalty thrice was hillarious. Chelsea scrapped by the entire match and did not deserve the point they eventually ended up with. Arsenal were the only one form the so called top 4 who won their weekend fixture with some sublime goals . Yippee!
Dark_Knight
And about the Franco - Carvalho incident which the referee didn't give... He was just being consistent... In the 1st half Faubert wrestled with Kalou and that also should have been a penalty... Then Green crashing into Kalou also was a penalty claim... And I think Illunga or someone did a Henry and swiped the ball away using his hands which was again a penalty claim... I agree that Chelsea didn't play well but they definitely deserved atleast a point from the game...

ΨΨ babloos ΨΨ
Man Utd legend Giggs: I could never handle spotlilght like Beckham Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs admits he was never one for the bright lights. Giggs, United's all-time appearance record holder with 821 games, dislikes being in the spotlight - unlike, for example, David Beckham, who he will face early next year after the Champions League draw paired United with AC Milan. He told the People: "When I was 20 and used to have a night out in London, I would find being chased down the road by the photographers really uncomfortable. "I remember at the time Lee Sharpe was really comfortable with it all, and later on Becks was as well, but I could never handle it. I think they fact I have never liked the limelight or the whole showbiz thing has kept me on the rails." Nemo
btw, did anyone miss this ?? LAMPARD PLAYER OF THE DECADE Chelsea dynamo Frank Lampard has been revealed as the Barclays Premier League's Player of the Decade. The England international was handed the honour by facts and figures giant Opta who studied every English top-flight game since January 1, 2000. After crunching the stats, Opta declared that Lampard has the most games and the most wins to his name, the 31-year-old also has the second-most number of assists and the fourth-highest goalscoring record. Lampard beat Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher to the most appearances record, finishing five games ahead of his Scouse rival thanks to the 346 matches - 210 of which were wins - he has featured in. The former West Ham favourite finished second on 76 to Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs in the assists stakes, and fourth after Thierry Henry in the goalscoring charts. The Frenchman bagged 169 goals for Arsenal. Current Roma boss Claudio Ranieri, who signed Lampard from the Hammers for £11million in June 2001, is far from surprised with the results. "This news fills me with a great satisfaction and pride because Frank Lampard is totally unique," Ranieri told The Sun. "He is a complete player and so professional. It doesn't surprise me that he is the best statistically, ahead of other players you might consider to be even bigger stars. "I'll tell you something. In my view Frank Lampard is a genuine 'Pallone d'oro' - which means he should be a European Footballer of the Year. He really is that good. "He is up there with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of quality - he is just a different type of player. "He does difficult things but he makes them look simple and that is why some people think he is less spectacular. "But I am glad the statistics have shown what a great player Lampard is. They show just how influential he is. "Lampard has such a strong mentality and that probably shines through too. Only the other day he had to take a penalty three times but he still scored. That tells you how cool he is under pressure, how focused. "Frank makes a difference to any game he is in. Sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it is less obvious. But he is so often the key to a victory. "That's why I am really glad that he has been recognised in some way as the player of the decade in England." http://www.espnstar.com/football/premier-l...-of-the-Decade/ awesome. Franky L love him. such consistency. also, personal choices may differ but you cant just argue with facts now can you ?? shekdown
Lampard is an absolutely brilliant player and hes the most important player in the Chelsea team. I definitely wouldnt put him ahead of Thierry Henry as best player of the decade, but hes, certainly as hell, in my top 3 players. Its more about what he gives Chelsea than anywhere else. The Chelsea system is built around him, which is precisely why you can see they've won so many games that he has featured in. You take him out of the Chelsea, they lose a lot of the lustre. If not, in the face, Lampard plays a very subtle role. Unlike the conventional AMF or CMF, Lampard plays a strikingly different and unique role. He doesnt control the game with his passing, however he manages the dictate the pace of his team's attack. His runs into spaces are almost like a silent assassin, most defenders lose him, almost in a flash. His striking ability of the ball, is a lot of times overrated, but its his composure that wins my respect. He never rushes into shots or options, he always thinks about them, well before hand. Like I said, the Chelsea system is built around him and its probably the only team he will flourish at, his best, in his career. A move for him will never really be beneficial for him, or the club, or the buyer club either. Which is why his England record is very very poor. How Gerrard gets more plaudits, than Lampard, is almost unbelievable. Gerrard is more of a machine player, with a fantastic engine and a superb striker of the ball, but not a technically gifted player. Lampard, on the other hand, has an almost uncanny technical ability on the ball and off it.
zophar
this should be an interesting month in the EPL, if Chelsea have to claim the title they cannot afford to drop points while their African stars are away.. to add to their problems, Anelka is injured ! Probably out for 2-3 weeks! That means Sturridge is going to be playing striker along with J. Cole!!

Nemo
btw, if anelka does not recover and we dont get anyone then it will be really dark days. More then sturridge i believe it will be Fabio Borini who will start up front, though Sturridge can be used cause he is more physical. What is the news on di santo ?? can he be called back ??
