BTW was it Lyon's home game today??????

And have Lyon got an away-goal advantage?????

It was a home advantage , Real are still not out of it.

WTF man , Kaka , Ronaldo , Benzima and still can't beat a team like Lyon , and they dream of playing finals at their home stadium in CL.

Now they will be after Rooney like a pack of hunting dogs next season :rofl:

Quarter-final here we come. :fear:

WTF , what did Carrick do to get the second yellow , I thought Evra was booked for foul. :scratchchin:

Even if Milan are able to score two goal at Old Trafford , they will let in probably 4 , so game set and match.

Go United !!!

:giggle::panic:

Great news. I was tired so went to sleep and didn't see the match. But greeted with this good news in the morning. QF spot to apna hai :P

Real Madrid will fight back at the estadio bernabeu :nerves: , Lyon played a very good game and really it should have been a 0-0 game, brilliant long range effort from Makoun ..

and what can you say about Rooney , the whole of England must be praying he makes it to the WC without injury

sh*t performance. thats all

Absolute BS to allow Porto's 2nd goal imo

1. I don't think it was a back-pass, very harsh to give it as it did not look deliberate from Sol

2. The referee HAS to give the defensive team time to build the wall, any team can easily score that way

Very poor refereeing and it really knocked the wind out of Arsenal, the 1st half was fantastic I thought..

its a shame that both the games last night had such bad referees--

Porto vs Arsenal - Martin Hansson - fondly remembered by the Irish for failing to spot a Thierry Henry handball

Bayern Vs Fiorentina - Ovrebo! - The Chelsea fan favorite for his performance during UCL Semi last year

even during Bayern game they score a goal and the referee gives a penalty :) , thankfully Robben scored it and saved him the embarassment.. Bayern's 2nd goal was also offside by a mile

very sad but what can you expect when you put 2 referees with such a bad record in charge of such big games

How was the 2nd Porto goal legal?

Even though i wanted arsenal to lose I feel t was absolutely sh*t refereeing

it was a back pass but still u can't take a FK inside opposition's half so quickly.

Cheap porto n stupid referee

How can u say cheap Porto? I blame it all on Fabianski, for two reasons.

1. He should never have picked that ball up

2. Why didn't he or Sol try and cover the ball instead of standing there all starry eyed. Instead Fabianski throws the ball to the ref, says to hell with this and turns his back while Sol Campbell is facing his own goal. Meanwhile, you've got a striker running across, a pass is made and a goal is conceded.

The referee HAS to give the defensive team time to build the wall

Why? So that they can bring in three times as much defenders as they had when they committed the offense? That's not really penalizing them, you know.

That's why you see so many times that one defender just stands right in front of the ball until the referee tells them to scram. It buys time. Besides, even if that wasn't an intentional backpass, why the f**k did Fabianski take a chance and not boot it into the stands? Arsenal just did not deal with that situation well, and got what they deserved.
