Mel81x
Someone at work was saying I have never seen anything like that Porto goal last night and so I went trolling. Its not exactly the same situation but watch the Chelsea defense try and set itself up.
Grimmjow
1. Fabianski gave the ball to the REFEREE. so you either risk not giving it and getting a yellow, or giving it to him and letting the porto players score from what, 5 yards out? 2. look at the goal closely please. the referee is freaking BLOCKING CAMPBELL.... how the f**k can he allow play to go on then?! this was the same guy who refereed the ireland/france match where henry handballed it twice. do not for one second underestimate the stupidity level of this guy. Grimmjow
honestly how the heck is this guy allowed to referee at the highest levels? reading his wiki : He came under criticism for a 95th minute penalty decision in a Champions League match between Atletico Madrid and Liverpool; the match finished 1-1 after Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard converted the last-minute spot kick. After the match, Gerrard himself admitted that he would have been "livid" had a similar decision been given under reversed circumstances.[2] Hansson was the referee for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup Final. During this match, Hansson failed to award Brazil a goal after a header by Kaká crossed the United States goal line before being cleared, but Brazil's eventual victory quelled the criticism.[3] Hansson was preselected as a referee for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.[4] While refereeing the Republic of Ireland vs France (2010 FIFA World Cup Play-Off), Hansson failed to notice a handball by French captain Thierry Henry, which permitted France to score the decisive extra-time goal against Ireland in their World Cup second leg play-off at the Stade de France on November 18, 2009. Grimmjow
it's karma though isn't it. henry's quick freekicks...but atleast his were out of the box this was easier than a penalty without a goalkeeper in goal
the_BIG_J
Lets just say that Porto had 13 men playing for them, no sweat guys, well take care of em at the Emirates!
KWC
there's a difference between a direct and an indirect freekick! but fabianski?! wtf!!!
Mel81x
well now all we need is the same muppet refereeing a game with United and then SAF will get sent to the doghouse for bashing a ref again verbally lol. I still stand by the fact that the goal was legit and Arsene Wenger can complain all he wants but I don't think any coach would have complained had they been in the same boat as Porto. I see the Emirates match being very different for Arsenal considering that they will have people back to play for them. If they can capitalize the defensive error of not watching the man on the outside of the box when corner kicks are taken then they can cruise into the next round no issues. Btw, I kind of like Hulk as a player, he just doesn't give up.

Nemo
Why? So that they can bring in three times as much defenders as they had when they committed the offense? That's not really penalizing them, you know. That's why you see so many times that one defender just stands right in front of the ball until the referee tells them to scram. It buys time. Besides, even if that wasn't an intentional backpass, why the f**k did Fabianski take a chance and not boot it into the stands? Arsenal just did not deal with that situation well, and got what they deserved. THIS !! loads of time henry used to take cheeky quick free kicks, tab no dikkat.. eh.. beb0p
Just watched the highlights of arsenal-porto. f**king Fabianski should be banished to the reserves forever. n00b. Welcome back to the Champions League, Sol Campbell.
Mel81x
Liverpool just squeeze through but a win is a win and Juve and Ajax should have been level. Still a treat to watch.
DevilsOwn
Vidic is Staying... In an interview with Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti, he said: "I have never had a conflict of any kind with Sir Alex Ferguson and speculation that I want to leave United is completely untrue. "I have a contract until the summer of 2012 and intend to see it through to the very last day. "United have made me the player I am today and there is no substance whatsoever in rumours that I have been looking for a move away to either Real Madrid or AC Milan." Vidic added: "I do not know why people are dealing with gossip and inventing things, and I have really not given them any reason. "I think that in these three or four months I haven't give any interview to the English media, and I cannot even remember when I talked to our press. "Maybe it's because of that. I am aware of that, but I'm not one of those people who think that they should speak every day, least of all to deny everything that is written, because in that case I would have to speak almost every day.
