Mel81x
the game last night was abysmal from a refereeing strandpoint but take heart Chelsea fans as said before this just opens more training time and focus for the PL. That said, the games next weekend are going to be very interesting. United has to win for them to stand a chance at making things wider at the top but then again its Liverpool so I have full faith that the game is going to be very very interesting. Also, putting into fact that Liverpool have just come off a good victory themselves and Aquilani actually showed a lot of control in the midfield. On another note, Jose will not come back to Chelsea because of Roman. I don't think he would want to either because he has other things to prove now and Chelsea I am sure do not factor into that equation. P.S. nice to see a healthy mix of teams in the CL once again. I hope its not an all English final to be honest so lets hope that the other teams get their game together. Should be interesting. Nemo
well said mel. now that we are out, i would like to see Jose (being the showman that he is) going on to win the CL at bernabu before joining them (real) next season and the of course, having a MASSIVE fallout with the club (perez) cause of the egos involved that should be interesting !! Madhav
mourinho reinstated perhaps! but seriously, ancelloti should be given atleast another season with chelsea even if this season goes by without a trophy( ) On another note, Jose will not come back to Chelsea because of Roman. Anshul
Unless chelsea win the league, I think we can safely say that Arsenal has had a better season. And looking at the profits made by both clubs, there's only one winner.
Mel81x
Inter can be beaten easily by United and Barca , they won't reach finals. And that's what people said about Barca's opening game and look what happened there. United aren't infallible so I'll wait to see the game because with that Inter team you never know when a good performance is waiting around the corner. Realistically I don't give them too high of a chance for winning it but stranger things have happened in the CL.
supersim
great job by the ref again to throw us out of the UCL again . 3 clear cut penalties over teh 2 legs and then drogs s sending off Platini must be proud anyways time to forget this and move on

Accept the fact , Inter were a better side over the two legs , they kept the ball well and defended excellent when required. I still don't know whether Drogba's kick was intentional or not , but he sure was pestered badly by both the Inter Center Backs , and a reaction was bound to come from Drogba at some point in time. Well to be honest , Chelsea crack when they face big guns in Europe , whether it be Man United , Liverpool , Barcelona or Inter.

A shove in the back of a player when he is 1 -1 with the GK is not a penalty (Even though the exact same thing happened when Belletti brought down Barry and he was sent off). And yeah... Now Rugby tackles are allowed inside the box I just hope that you are not the next referee we get in the Champions League Inter played good... But they definitely did not outplay us over the course of both the legs... They took their chances and we didn't take ours...
supersim
Joy we all know you despise chelsea and its quite evident that you dont want to give us any credit by refusing to acknowledge the ref s mistakes . Have it your way , the ref didnt influence the game not this one nor the barcelona one and so on, happy now .

the_BIG_J
Guys, pls be honest Chelsea did not have any clear cut opportunities in the game, whilst Inter had like 2-3 good one's and Inter were always looking dangerous on the break. Sneijder was different class, he is some player, thats the first I have seen of him since the WC, and he was sublime, his vision and creativity were epicly awesome. As for the penalties, maybe Samuel on Drog, but none of em were definite pen's I guess, but one has to praise Jose what a master tactician he is, his record at the bridge still intact. supersim
I m not flaming inter here they did a good job plus they had that luck riding in their side , but if those penalties would have been given it would have been a different story altogether. Joy
/waits for joy to come up with another flame chelsea post . I don't hate Chelsea Simmy , I was just telling the truth , Chelsea didn't do enough in both legs to go through and no penalty decisions and referee related stuff can take away that and its a fact. I was mainly talking about last nights penalty claims which were mainly related to defenders grabbing strikers or jumping over them while heading the ball. Both Lucio and Samuel tackled Drogba the way I had never seen before. Even though I'm a ManU fan , I always loved watching Chelsea play when Jose was there specially when Robben came to the club. The best thing about yesterday nights match was Jose got his revenge , I was so disappointed to see him leave Premiere League just because of a ego of a Russian Billionaire owner. I just wish Jose comes back to Premier League someday whether it will be Red half of Manchester or Blue Half remains to be seen. Simmy Premier League title is still left , lots more to fight about. L33TWiZaRd
I think UCL refs have something against English cups. Arsenal 2 years back...Chelsea last year and this year I think Barca may also get knocked out tonight
