Did u say the same thing that manutd din deserve to win, when they won the cl in 1999...... or did you even watch it?

boltonfan
Au contraire, this is going to be interesting. All the semi-finalists have their distinctive styles, and that will make for some very intriguing matches. EPL teams get results and win titles, but I've always felt like they don't have a distinctive style of play like clubs from other countries or even from English clubs from 8-10 years ago. It would've been nice to have one English club, but as it is, having one each from Italy, Spain, Germany, and France is an exciting prospect (as long as Inter don't win) peace Spot on.... arsenal do have a paricular style of play, one which cost them dearly yesterday I'm not taking off credit from english teams for progressing in the tournament. I just want to see other teams win the competition.
Grimmjow
actually united and chelsea have particular styles of play as well. chelsea are probably the most overall complete package imo - they play it short, they hoof it up to drogba, they use the wings. united are more of a stick-to-your-position, cross a lot, play on the counter type of team. theyre the most tactically drilled out of the 3. boltonfan
alryt I understand bro N BTW I started watching football in the season Chelsea won the first BPL title under Jose Hehe I understand the frustration..... Felt the same when allardyce left and sammy lee came in Btw bolton are not yet safe.

Nemo
my man robben scored a scorcher !! great great comeback by the germans. Truly epic. i have been harping about robby's awesomeness for the past week or so and here he showed his mettle. Great play by Olic too. man utd out of cl Though i must say, nani played really well, hats of to him. IT was the best i have seen him play. United have a gem on their hands if they can make him play like that more (i hope not though, cause u know, direct competition for us and all) and that brazilian chuza.. rafael.. or more like rofeal really looked out of sorts from the get go. Part of me is happy cause of utd's exit (well u know, if we cant win cl so should not our direct rivals waali feeling) but part of me is kind of upset too cause had united gone through their fixtures wud have been- semi, city, semi, wigan and that would have been good for chelsea's PL chances. but what the hell, our PL destiny is in our hands we should not be dependent on others.. so yeah united's cl exit = Edited April 8, 2010 by Nemo

supersim
so united out zeee germans Hats off to them , united were favourites to go through . Hmmm altough no english teams reach the semis , still inter vs barca and lyon vs bayern are gonna be mouthwatering
Nemo
btw among all this ruckus did anyone see the other quarter ?? bordeux played pretty good, chamko scored a goal too but other wise Lyon's defense held firm. Chris and co and Lloris (future star in making) were pretty good.
Mel81x
I wonder if United can make their challenge for top spot and the PL stronger now that they are out and unless we give you'll a hand with Chelsea lol I don't see that happening. And I did see the Chamakh goal, very quick reflexes and he's going to Arsenal. Good purchase yet again Wenger
Nemo
I wonder if United can make their challenge for top spot and the PL stronger now that they are out the threat of that is the only reason i am not running butt nakeeid on my 7 floor terrace in celebration of the result
Mel81x
the only game i am keen on watching this coming weekend is the Arsenal vs Hotspurs game. The rest are so so. Oh and the Liverpool game . And for the record, its not Rooney I really worry about anymore its Valencia, if you'll have him up and running on that wing then the balls WILL come in for people to take chances. He's shaped up to be a good winger for United but he's still not as good as my classic favorite Marc Overmars.
