Madhav
Samir Nasri . 2 AWESOME goals. Man, I am starting to think that this is indeed Arsenal's season this year. Their so-called 'young' team is finally showing what they are made of. No chance. We need to sign a Center Back, minimum in the Jan transfer window for us to have a chance. If we sign Gary Cahill, we would really have one hand on the trophy. Nasri saved our backsides today. We cant struggle to dross like Fulham at home. The fragility of the defence without Vermaelen is just astonishing. This... Without defense Arsenal cant win sh*t no matter how well the upper order plays... Though, Nasri is architecting some beautiful goals for himself recently... second goal was again poetry in motion...
Dark_Knight
Cahill is a c*nt. Fking scumbag. He could have easily pulled out of the tackle. And I must be sounding like a broken tape recorder by now but why in hell is Kalou on the fking pitch? He has been absolute sh*t the last 3 games and surprise surprise he was sh*t again today. And Ancelotti must have lost his mind to substitute in Ferreira for Bosingwa. Bosingwa attacks and defends whereas Ferreira does neither. Madhav
And Ancelotti must have lost his mind to substitute in Ferreira for Bosingwa. Bosingwa attacks and defends whereas Ferreira does neither. Its not Ancelotti's fault... not every player has the fuel to go for 90, especially the one who recently has come back from a year of injury/rehab... Its just that Chelsea happens to have the worst 2nd choice RB around... Sigh!
Dark_Knight
Donno man... Bosingwa didn't look tired to me. I think it was a defensive substitution ie; Ancelotti wanted a more defense minded fullback than Bosingwa. Just hope that Ferreira doesn't play even step on the pitch against Tottenham 'coz if he plays then Bale will tear him apart.

Man In The Box
Roma's defence has been abysmal this season. They were leading 2-1 to Chievo away and now have conceded in the 82nd minute . Also, what a crazy tackle by De Rossi. He deserved that straight red. Man In The Box
What a close finish ! An awesome save by Julio Sergio and then a great goal-line block by Mexes. But overall Roma should be disappointed with this draw. Their title hopes are more or less over and now even a top 4 finish will be tough if their defence plays like this. Their marking has been really poor tonight and even against Palermo last week. Edited December 4, 2010 by Avishkar

beb0p
Just saw the highlights of Arsenal Vs Fulham and OMG NAsri''s second goal. The gunners are often critised about trying to walk the ball into the net and this goal is the perfect example of how to execute that. Sheer beauty! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xfy2li_ful21vj0g3e_fun

Madhav
Lampard to return for Spurs clash http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/60492.html great news I'm no more excited about his return anyway... If the absence of one player/Lampard is making Chelsea produce such results, then shame on the whole squad itself... And, I hardly think that his absence is what is making Chelsea collapse.. Its like nobody is performing like they should, no body... Its something else which needs to be rectified or I cant even imagine the worst... Also, is it just me or anyone else agrees as well that Drogba is playing like a 40yr old now..?!. His acceleration, pace, agility, quickness, etc have slowed down drastically... I mean he used to lose his markers like a walk in the park.. But now, defenders are like literally owning him.. The only conclusion I can come up about this is that he still has not recovered to his full strength post malaria...
Nemo
^^ well said man. I hope lamps return brings some much needed fire in the team but he is just one man. I wont be entirely pleased if we suddenly start playing like badass mo'fos at his return, i mean yes i will be happy but i will be disturbed as well to see our dependence on one player can be SO much. tell you what, at this point i would take a top 3 finish with youngsters given good play time and then heavy investments in the squad in summer. We were under false sense of security last season when we won the double and everyone thought the squad is good enough when it was not. I always maintained post 30 a player goes down much much faster, that happened with drogba, anelka and terry and to an extant lampard. hence no teeth in the crunch time. No one took notice that we won the title by just one point with united capitulating awesomely in december when they did not have their entire back four for 3 weeks. I do want us to win, yes but (and i feel stupid saying this) but dont exactly feel comfy with tht thought that it will again give us a false cover and we wont get any one in summer or probably blow a wad of cash on average stuff like ramires/zhirkov and be sitting with our thumbs up our arses :X while witnessing an even bigger fall out in winter 2011. what is sickening is that we are playing our golden oldies AND not winning at the same time. i would be much happier if it were a bunch of players from academy if we are to get such results. I wont blame if kakuta etc dont renew their contracts, we have given them no reason to trust some play time.
Madhav
I really have a feeling that summer of 2011 would kick in those 2003/4/5 signature years... Its about time we went on a free-spending spree.. yu cant competitively be in Domestic,European or even both leagues with more than half the squad 30+... And, its not even that we need to go all RM/MC... just 3 or max 4 good young signings... We'll be desperately needing a world class defender, playmaker and a striker in about a year's time.. CescFabregas
Arsenal on top for now!!! Yay!! Samir Nasri was brilliant!! Both goals were sublime.. Commentator on Nasri's second goal.. Benayoun injury was not required....he was going at very good pace...and scoring goals Edited December 5, 2010 by green_beret

It is one thing trying to be all self sufficient but you cant really expect to rely ONLY on your academy. In recent years football has become highly money centric (yes i see the irony coming this from a chelsea fan) and unless one is willing go the arsenal route of playing only youngsters and being trophy less for long periods, one has to spend. Only barca is a club that has successfully used its academy in last decade or so among the big teams and even they have had to spruce up with a zlatan or a villa every few years. I hope roman is not going from one extreme to another, ie from raining roubles to stopping all purchases. We have had been putting off this replacement of drogba, lamps, terry thing for far too long. In Ivanovic we have a very good CB in making but apart from him i see no one to step up and take other positions. The most worrying part is that we were ready to put out 30 mill for robhino (that god that bullet was dodged) and 25 for that nymar fella this summer but when both deals fell out we just sat there smiling w/o pursuing alternatives. why ? also the busts of zhirkov and ramires, 18 million apiece for what ? back ups its maddening to see VdV going for 8 million as it is :| Edited December 5, 2010 by Nemo

(if you take out Chamakh from the equation) As for the defense, Chelsea are lacking behind even Arsenal! Chelsea have only 3 established CB in Terry, Alex and Ivanovic. (Arsenal have 4 - one injured and Djourou being sh*t which means Arsenal have at least a greater "number" of CBs ) The midfield is uninspiring! It is shocking to see a season like this.. I don't think it is more competitive! Everyone is sloppy! Abramovich is looking to get more involved with the team and that is sure to cause havoc. No disrespect to the owner but you gotta leave it to the guys who know what they're doing!
