Mel81x
Arsenal should have put one in when Chamakh rolled across it but it was a good game to watch. The second half wasn't one-sided but at the end of the day Arsenal couldn't come up with the goods. Man of the match is either Clichy or that young goal-keeper today because if it hadnt been for the two of them this game could have ended in 4 - 0 or worse
Mel81x
Awesome defending by Manchester United. Arsenal just couldn't find a way to break the back 4. Well played United. Hopefully they do slip up against Chelsea though. I'm hoping they slip up around my bday
Joy
One half of the job done , now next weeks its the Blues turn to taste some Red. Lucky to get that penalty , lineman got it wrong , Rooney made a meal of it. Nani tries to be selfish sometimes , resulting in his downfall. Now that's how to stop a free flowing Arsenal side , everyone in the defense was rock solid , specially Vidic. Evra was like a hulk tonight. Keano
game won by grit by united. they just tipped it in their favour. park, vidic and ferdinand were the difference. they simply knew chamakh was not going past them, end of. very surprised nasri played the whole game on the side. rosicky was of no real help as a playmaker. in the final third, the passing was off, in spite of really some muscular defensive help from song. also, when he came in, fabregas looked totally unfit, he just was not running and miscued almost all his moves. and neither chamakh nor walcott will ever be good finishers. 2 Points - Top of the league - game in hand : who would have thought this is possible during the initial 2 months of the season

Thanks to Chelsea's surprising dip in form and their long injury list we are now in a better position... Mel81x
Arsenal were missing Cesc in the midfield because no one was really distributing the ball. You had Arshavin running up against taller defenders and the game at one point looked more physical than it needed to be. Rooney missing that penalty cant be good news for SAF and to be honest he was moaning a lot during the match and just acting frustrated when all he really needed to do was just get his act together as they were playing well. I forsee a nice finale to this year.
supersim
Nasri never got into the match. As for arshavin , he was the biggest waste on the pitch yesterday. Park was the difference in the end.
Mel81x
I think the young goalkeeper was good yesterday and he saved Arsenal's skin. As for Park, he was in the right place at the right time. There is nothing anyone could have done to avoid that.

sup bro?
Surprise ... surprise "Both teams were well-organised, the intensity of the game was very high and on a very bad pitch." Arsene Wenger Wenger's got many problems, pitch ain't one.

Mel81x
What can you say about Arsenal. Such a rich history with some great players that have gone on to break records in the premier league. Sadly, what its become now is a team that show talent at times that makes you wonder why they do it more consistently and yesterday, I think they could have unlocked the United defence if Wenger had let them do a double strike pair from the start. The midfield was so flooded that no one had any options upstairs and Chamakh was the one left scampering and even with Van Persie came on he was playing a more regressive role as a midfielder. sup bro?
Each time Arsenal lost possession in their own half was hilarious.
shekdown
The pitch was terrible, but thats no excuse, both teams play on the same pitch, so thats not a point Arsene should be bringing up. Same story yet again, Arsenal possession much better and lacking a sting in the final 3rd. Arshavin and Song were absolutely diabolical and Im surprised they get picked every game ahead of other players, time and time again, despite being so terrible. Its just embarrassing. Man Utd definitely showed grit and they overrun our midfield with power, no technique of any sort, but who cares as long you get the 3 points. A total fluke of a first goal and some superb team work in covering gaps. Anderson and Rafael were brilliant. SAF yet again using a 4-5-1 that breaks up Arsenal's flow. Arsene yet again going for lack of midfield control, which allows Man Utd to easily break our flow. In the end, the plus points to take as an Arsenal fan would be, knowing that despite the win Man Utd are not better than Arsenal; Koscielny was yet again superb and Chesney should be a guaranteed no.1 ahead of both Fabianski and Almunia. Id put Clichy in there too because he ran and never tired to keep his side of the wing as a non-threat zone. Albeit, he did get a foot on the ball that eventually found Park's head and the net but I felt he was much better this time around. Wilshire could have been better as well but they just lost steam as they approached the goal and with no options to pass or create plays they were left stranded. And I am also glad that Gerrard is back this weekend against Fulham [hopefully] Edited December 14, 2010 by Mel81x

WOW!! That is a point I completely disagree. Both teams gave the ball away far too easily. Neither team held on to the ball the way they should have. AND Man Utd had more possession than Arsenal for most of the match. Its just a case wherein both teams never played to their potential, but Arsenal managed to dip lower in performance than Man Utd. It was a match that would have been 5x better had both teams lived up to their potential.
Joy
^ Are u forgetting he is a Arsenal fan , no matter how bad they play there will always be that Gunner e ness in his posts. Arsenal got totally out played yesterday in every department, its a fact , they were lucky it finished 1-0 , instead of 3 or 4 nil. Nasri is the hottest player in BPL since last couple of months alongwith Bale , but looked below avg player yesterday.
