Nemo Posted December 19, 2010 Report Share Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Again, this was all done on behest of the local authorities' concern for the people who would be traveling in large numbers to different stadia in and around London. england and specifically london is having massive snow fall (have a friend in london and going by here very recent outdoor pics, its no faaltu concern.. tbh i love snow). some might retort and point out to snow clad games played in european tourneys like CL in and around the erstwhile USSR and ask why cant that happen in BPL.. ? well fair question, but organization of CL is very different from that of a domestic league. CL fixtures are set well in advance and separate windows are given to them in between regular league fixtures, and change in the schedule will be a big headache as no less than 3 organizations will be involved, UEFA and the respective FAs of the two teams, its a complicated procedure; not to mention that CL/europa being a cup tournament, any reschedule might result in unfair advantage to certain teams as they would know the results of other matches well in advance before their matches and can tinker around with various permutations for going to the next round; unlikely but entirely plausible. --------------------------------------------------------------- @ angersmash hope you werent offended by that wordplay, was just in fun Edited December 19, 2010 by Nemo Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
