what proof is there.. i cant see any in the article. Insider-shminsider pfft.

For all i know, i have read such insider reports that this deal was orchestrated with a clause that Madrid will have the first say when ever Bale (yes him) decides to move. Makes more sense, 8 million for vdv was suspiciously low.

ok so here is one question to all of you. Its the end of the year and all media outlets are out with their 'XI of the year', every team i see has a distinct pattern.

4-4-2. 2 fearsome forwards, 4 all attacking midfielders, 2 fullbacks who normally spend more time in opp half then their own, sometimes even a wingback (bale in most teams) as a full back. 2 CBs and a keeper.

casillias

ramos/maicon, puyol, pique/vidic, bale

messi, xavi, inesta, ronaldo

forlan, villa

now that team above is one that you can see in 97% of the 'XI of the year' reports. I see that, chuckle and wonder.. do these people have any iota of football sense. who the hell is gonna defend in that team. Its really sad to see all these self pimping football pundits making a mockery of defending as an art and integral part of football.

TBH, that team above will get beaten more often than winning if faced with top 3 teams of any of the top leagues in europe.

Who needs to defend when u can score more goals than ur opposition. :naughty:

Mourinho vs Barca :harhar:

That team would beat most of the La Liga, but in BPL it might be different.

And how can you play Bale at Left back when he's been ripping apart teams from ML?

and messi as wide right? in a 4-4-2?

would move ronaldo to wide right, bale to wide midfield.

Play Messi behind Berba up front.

And in left wing back, maybe leighton Baines/ evra

Arsenal.com just posted a nice compilation of goals of the year by the Gunners. You might as well call it Samir Nasri's goals of 2010. Its so heartening to see him pop up so regularly in the video and how about that finishing and composure... hubba hubbba !

Check it out :

XI of the year

casillias

ramos/maicon, puyol, pique/vidic, bale

messi, xavi, inesta, ronaldo

forlan, villa

most of the players are from la liga in this team... only 2 from bpl .. :scratchchin:

anyhoo, BPL team of the season (this season so far) for me.

----------Cech------------

Ivanovic-Vidic-Cahill-Baines

Nani-Song-Yaya toure-Bale

-------------VDV----------

---------Andy carroll------

Now THAT is a team that, based on current form, will own faces and it can honestly defeat any other XI put together right now.

anyone having doubts can mail me their reasons and logic at-

of course that is not my team :| i just put a random assortment of players that one can see frequently in any XI of the year article. yes most of the players are from la liga cause of their 'bootifool futebal' (also diving and play acting drama et all).

@ devils

yeah bale at LB will be a bad move, that is whole point of me writing that.. the team XI makers all are going for attack attack and choosing the players first than the positions instead of other way around.

was just pointing that out to devil....regarding him saying that this team would beat all la liga teams but bpl would be diff.

imo...that team could just rip apart just about everybody...

Macheda set for loan move. Club still undecided but SAF says it 100% temp; so that's the good part. I really like him as a player.

And O'Shea could be sold to wolfsburg.

I was just wondering if he is the only player to have played at all the positions; right from GK to a striker? :scratchchin:
