Mel81x
not a shabby game yesterday. I love how Stoke always seem to come back and then lose it again. Their central defending unit could have done better imo but they did stop what could have become an embarrassing affair. Any predictions on tonight's winners? Joy
Good game yesterday , Vidic made a rare mistake yesterday which led to the goal. Awesome goals by Chicho & Nani , we really need to find someone who can atleast hit the target or make the keeper work from set pieces , ever since CR left we rarely score from free kicks , Nani tries to copy CR but , he not even half of his quality to take free kicks. DevilsOwn
To who ever said kaka would fit into Scholes' role, no he couldn't. It's quite different. I did. And I am not saying that he will fit into the exact same mould. Cant. No one can. But he can replace Scholes (when he leaves this or the next season). He can lend the creativity and goals, that Carrick/ Fletch lack. I also said that Kaka could play further up the field with either of Carrick/ Fletch playing a more holding role. At the height of Keano-Scholes partnership, that is how we used to play. And we all know what a class act that partnership was, and how dominant we were with that. Daedalus
We haven't played like that in a long while. Our system now contains 2 deeplying/box to box/holding mid fielders where we attempt to slog out results, and this is frankly annoying me. Scholes has been a deep lying playmaker for a while now. Even when he wasn't, he performed a certain level of his defensive duties. Kaka is an out and out AM who never tracks back. I doubt that Fergie will attempt to change this system mid season to accommodate a loan sign. It's a huge risk because it will involve a shift in their training techniques. Even if Kaka were to come permanently, I can't see him fitting in, with moderate changes. All respect to him though, he's among the best I've seen in the last 10 years. Mel81x
^ Check next week , how the strongest squad as per you gets ripped apart. Doesn't the CL start later on the in the year? lol ... i know i know ... I am just trying to get a few knocks in. That said, what the commentator said yesterday was so true. United spend so much time in the last third of the pitch that when they are challenged defensively it all starts breaking down like a house of cards. I'd like to say thats true with all good teams but somehow I think i'd be proved wrong by a few of them out there and sadly none of them are in the PL. hsk_colossus
02 Dec 10: "He (Joe) isn't a naturally confident character. He suffers when things are not going his way," said Hodgson. 05 Jan 11: "Joe is a very confident player. He always thinks he is playing well, so he doesn’t have any great worries about that side of things," said Hodgson.
