Mel81x
Yeah cause i Grew Up watching La liga and Serie A. the only team which i liked was leeds in epl. I guess their are not as many fans of others league in ivg . Mainly i am usually more active in football communties in orkut. F'ing Leeds theres another team I look at and just SMH. I remember them being tremedously good and of course they were brill in their earlier years as well but then again I actually started watching football around the time Liverpool were dominant in the league and it was the Red colour of the jersey and add to the fact that a friend in the building told me they were good. But yeah the EPL/BPL does get a lot of face-time here as does La Liga [for obvious reasons] and leagues like the Bundesliga[nemo is twitching lol], Serie A and other leagues get neglected. I still think the Eredivise is a good watch now and then and even League 1 and some of the J-Leagues as well but sadly not enough tele-broadcast to keep up. They do show a lot of SPL as well which is kinda funny but then again it has its moments too. I remember watching Gio play in the SPL and Feyernood before moving to Arsenal during the wonder years. Plus my dad is a big Ajax fan of old so I get to hear stuff about the club from him and he cringes that he doesn't get to watch matches anymore lol and all I say is welcome to pop-football culture. 'Pranay
subotic out of our reach ? damn.. really liked him. he is one of the reason BvB are having such a stellar season; btw have a look at their first 11, the oldest player is at 26, Lucas Barrios such awesome potential they have. Looking forward to some great football by them in seasons to come. Back home, i really... reaaaaaly want to see us make a splash in transfer window. subotic would have been great, but alas. David Luiz now.. eh, another highly rated player, good to see we are having more than one options, but no joy till some progress is made; off loading paulo will be another awesome Regarding lamps' "replacement" well lets just be clear, no one can replace the awesome that is Frank Lampard Jr. however, that lyon dude who for the love of me, i cant get his spelling right :|, is young, talented and apparently unsettled in his club as gourcuff plays his spot. GET HIM CARLO !! David Luiz, that lyon dude and Van der wiel.. good targets and for a change get able too. Pranjic ? I guess that his name is O.o. Best replacement for Lampard could had been Basitian but i guess he signed a new contract
'Pranay
Well you cant blame people not watching serie A lol BTW the best thing regarding those great ucl teams was players being of the same nationality. Juventus in the 90's had 7/8 italians. Porto when they won had 8/9 potuguese players. etc. Only i guess Barca is the team with most players of the same nationality. Usually you dont see much these days with teams. Inter being the worst example Edited January 14, 2011 by black swordsman
Mel81x
lets not forget that terribly awesome Bayern Munich team in 1999 that got a double shocker at the end. The central lineup was all german as well. Today's football is more like a donkey with a carrot in front of its face ... you get some more money and bam!! your club loyalty flies out the door and so do a lot of other players along with you. This is not to say that loyalty is dead but building a squad and having them perform optimally has become more of a "are you doing ok?" kind of job than pushing them out on the pitch and getting them to work together. If your good somebody wants you when your contract is up. If you've got the stones to say no and stick to your club AND build a team then good on you because somewhere down the line things will click and then the magic happens. Who expected Porto to go to the finals and take a dump on AS Monaco the way they did and what happened the following year? Money-blindness and a split team. Lets also not forget ego-clashing but that's been around since we discovered fire so nothing new there although we still haven't found a way to control it Edited January 14, 2011 by Mel81x
Madhav
Chelsea's offer for Steven Pienaar accepted but Everton's contract rebel is ready to snub a move to champions in the wake of Spurs interest Wow!
Mel81x
I guess the more important question is where is he going to have the most impact?
Dark_Knight
I really wouldn't be dissapointed if Pienaar doesn't come to Chelsea. He is a useful player but that's about it. I would prefer giving the young players a chance than signing another 30 year old.

Nemo
Yeah cause i Grew Up watching La liga and Serie A. the only team which i liked was leeds in epl. I guess their are not as many fans of others league in ivg . Mainly i am usually more active in football communties in orkut. i like other leagues too, its just that epl has the best marketing, are always in the face and have the best timings that more people follow that. i wont lie when i say i started watching epl first and foremost and went with chelsea, back in 02 other leagues did not even have the kind of exposure they have now. Over time i have developed a good interest in bundeslia too. Last season i extensively followed it, partly because my cable operator had tussles with espn star and more than half the season i had no epl.. imagine, missed half the season of chelsea's title run thank fully espnstar was back by feb 10 La liga is telecast-ed at ghastly times, way late in the night; almost everytime i miss it. last i saw it live was the el classico. I do watch sire A. quite regularly in fact. it does get a tad boring, yes but always fun to see the italian giants. PL > bundesliga > sire A > la liga for me. They are both absolutely useless in Europe." "If you see any Arsenal fans walking a dog plz call them immediately on 42 43 44 as Dey're nt vry gud at holding on to leads" "What is difference btween trangle and liverpoll??? trangle has 3 points" "Q: What's the difference between Alex Ferguson and God? Madhav
Drogba is finished... PERIOD!!! I've never seen him so slow... mediocre defenders are catching up on him so easily.. Its heartbreaking!! his predator instinct in the box is nowhere to be seen as well...
