What a tale of halves , 1st half I saw probably the worst 1st half performer by United this season , Blackpool were all over United and we were lucky it wasn't 3 or 4-0. Then the 2nd half , the hair dryer treatment worked again. Giggs , Hernandez and Berbatov , If anyone out there who still has any doubts left that United won't win the league this season comfortably , should shave their head bald. I love United , and I'm proud to be a Red devil. My God what a awful pitch , FFS if it was any more worse it would equal the pitches we seen here in Indian football playing Mudbaal. Go United !!! Joy Posted January 25, 2011 Report Share Posted January 25, 2011 I still have my doubts about Smalling , whenever he is under pressure he gets nervous and his first instinct is to back pass it to the goal keeper instead of kicking it out of danger area and most of the time he makes the meal of it. He was awful tonight throughout the match , all the defenders had super crap first half on that side of the pitch , Blackpool keeper almost got injured as his foot got stuck inside the mud hole when he was keeping on that side , its was that bad. Vidic and Evra picked up their game in 2nd half , but Smalling continued his good form from 1st half. Mel81x Posted January 26, 2011 Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) Rooney has lost his charm imo but then again he doesnt have to worry when the rest of the team is picking up for his lack of goal scoring. There is still some time to go this season but I am now impressed enough with Blackpool to say that they do deserve to be in the PL and they should have won that game because they dominated well enough to not allow United to score in the second half but their resolve faltered and this is the life of teams that come in from Div1 into the PL. He was my MOM yesterday in 1st half but Giggs stole the show in 2nd half after coming at 70 min mark. But yeah they do deserve to be in PL next season.
