Fire Wolf
Real Madrid have sacked Bernd Schuster and appointed Juande Ramos as manager. Would be interesting if he carries on his Tottenham form

He was essentially carrying over Jol's team and even after that CC win the league form was pathetic. That of course doesn't discount the fact that he's a great manager. But still I'd give him a season before he's fired Madrid were stupid to fire Capello. Edited December 9, 2008 by Fire Wolf
saberwing
I give him till the end of season, then he gets fired. Unfortunately thats the way things are run at Madrid, they demand instant results or else..

Unfortunately thats the way things are run at Madrid, they demand instant results or else.. Juande Ramos knows Spanish football inside out........unlike epl! I guess he wont take too much time to settle!Hez a brilliant manager and ALL DA BEST to him Its not that schuster has been sacked coz of lack of recent results.....he would hav stated but for his post sevilla match comments! Even if ramos fails to get results in da starting,he'll be given more time and space!! So thats not the way we run the things at bernebeau.........Claderon is smart enough to know dat if he puts the condition of instant results and den fires the manager failing to do so,we,madridistas will call for his head! As i said, bernd's case is diff....dat comment was da final nail which he hammered himself!

Even though I agree those comments were highly controversial. And no I dont agree with you, the environment in Spanish football and Madrid in particular is very different from the other leagues, fans themselves demand immediate results and the board is no better. Just count the number of managers Madrid has had in the last 5-7 years. Barca is still better in that regard.

One of the very few things i regret about decisions at real is Fabio Capello's sacking! Was a bad decision....... Curse u ramon! Martin Jol took them quite close with two 5th place finishes (one nearly 4th place finish), the team that won the CC was essentially his team with the exception of a couple of players who played the final. IMO they got lucky in the CC semi where they played the Arsenal reserves. It was their day, but anyways Ramos just couldn't be a good manager at Tottenham. saberwing
I echo DevilsOwn's sentiments, the way things are run at Madrid is not a very positive environment for any new manager.
