Man In The Box
Effectively we've got Suarez and Carroll in and it's cost us nothing, with torres going...We've lost someone pretty special but who didn't want to play for us and whose attitude this season has not been good... True. Let's hope Agger injures him in the Liverpool vs Chelsea match . I don't really know if Carroll should have been purchased at that price but well that traitor Fernando Torres left us with no choice. He could have handed in the transfer request as soon as the window opened instead of ditching us like this. May you rot in hell Fernando. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's match against Stoke. Let's see how Suarez manages to play with this team. Edited February 1, 2011 by Avishkar
Joy
Damn so much has happened in so less time everywhere , and all I see at Red Devils camp is Lindegaard for 3.5m I see a big name midfield player joining us in summer transfer window , Kaka maybe. Carroll, arrived for an inflated fee, but the message FSG have put out is priceless... "We hate you so much because we loved you so much" -- barca fans used this when figo went madrid ....similar to our situation... Nemo
btw, between Torres and Luiz don't overlook how valuable it is to get the youths on good loan deals today. The experience they get the rest of the year could end up being one of the best values for ROI from today's business. I'm thrilled the club got them out on loan vs sitting on the bench for the rest of the season. Bruma, Van aanholt, Stud-man and Kakuta all loaned out and doubtless will get the necessary mins they so require.

Mel81x
@Avi and @Hsk: Don't feel too bad its not like he left us with nothing. He's going to go to the Bridge and link-up with another star striker while we do what we've always done best ... come from behind. We did it in the early part of the last decade and I get a feeling its coming again. We always start short of a few good players and they will come eventually. Now you have a rough-house striker and a precision point-man with the rest of the team behind them. I see this as a positive irrespective of how much we spent to make it happen. Last year the key performances came around when the team was struggling and I still say that losing Yossi and Aquilani might have been the first two nails in the coffin but whats done is done and now with new management and a football legend at the helm things might start looking up.

We have been doing pretty well without signing anyone great this year, havent we! Its great to see our opponents panicking into crazy buys in the middle of the year. Which means that they are sh*t scared. Even this summer, we might see only a replacement #1 for Edwin, and maybe a midfielder. And i wouldnt be bothered without signing any big names. United supporters will start panicking the day SAF either gets a stroke or decides to retire lol. I don't think we're worried about anyone this season because its been sh*t for us from the word go. We've had managerial changes, owner changes and now key player changes. Hopefully our new owners spend a little more in the summer and get us defensive replacements because the way KD is seeing the field right now, there is a lot of youth involvement and improvement. the_BIG_J
Gosh what a crazy final day in the transfer window. Dunno what Chelsea are gonna do with 3 top class strikers, fearsome strike force really! For Liverpool Suarez is a decent buy, Carrol again unproven player not worth the price tag, again another english player transfers for highly inflated amount. Arsenal dint buy anyone, they were looking a CB, but I guess the return of Scquilacci has put that on hold, and we have sent a few kids out on loan. The main one being Vela is on loan at WBA, hopefully he will return as improved as Wilshere! Ireland and Obafemi deals are interesting too, I think both respective players will do well, especially Ireland! Manutd - god I just pray that they lose a game!!!.... Nemo
Feeds straight from RAWK- - Sickening, hate filled SCUM BAG, of the highest order. WHY ARE YOU SUCH A c*nt, YOU BASTARD :no :no :no :no :no :no Gerrard you know what you have to do on Sunday !!!!! Oh and dont shake his ********ing hand - just rip it off - You know what, I was annoyed when Xabi left. But if he ever came up to me and said 'fancy a chat?' I'd bore him for hours, gushing over him, and I imagine he'd have a few insights into life as a footballer, and show respect for the club, like he does to this day. If I met Torres, I wouldn't give a sh*t about his opinions, or his life in Liverpool, or how ********ing hard these 3 days have been for him. All I want to know is 'how?' Not why did you go, when did you decide, what happened to make you act like this. I just want to know how he could blow so much hot air about loyalty, how can you go on about loving the fans, how did you hide your true self for so long, how can you spit in our faces? - Keep an eye on your missus Fernando. - He's dead to me. I loved him. Now I hate him. I really though you were different to other footballers but no. Now you are just a Cockey rent boy. ******** off Torres! I hope you win ******** all at Chelsea you stupid c*nt. - From an average La Liga player with potential, Rafa and the support of the fans made him into a Superstar. Pure PR that's all I can say about Torres, turned out self image is what he was all about, from his Autobiography that related to the fans and made us feel he was one of us and got us to his "I feel like Liverpool is my english team, I could never play for another one". The only player i've ever really idolised was Fowler, I just feel sorry for the young reds and the ones who idolised him and really looked up to him. They won't know now how hurtful his words are but everyone else will now know what an ungrateful t*** he is. - Well I was all for understanding his motives but after that little cameo he can go ******** himself up the arse. C*nt of the highest order. August 2013 Torres on his transfer to Real Madrid... "I'm glad to be joining a big club at last..." - Disgusting, can't believe all this actually happened. Maybe he's having his midlife crisis and will realise his mistake. One day. - Luis Garcia, Liverpool legend. And Fernando Torres, footnote in our illustrious history. ******** him. I loved him until about twenty minutes ago but that is frankly disrespectful. His mistake not ours. YNWA. - At the level I deserve." No, that's nothing close to what you "deserve" lad. Dear me. I suppose English isn't his first language, and he's trying to impress his new owners/supporters..but ********, does it hurt. - You were already playing for one of the tops sides in the World Torres you shithouse. ******** off - you're as plastic as the "fans" you now play in front of. Betrayer. Judas. - Banner for sale, 10 x 6 ft....taking offers of £1.20 :wave - I just heard the c*nt speak, ******** him, ******** him, ******** him. We need to twat them c*nts on sunday! - The ping of a hamstring will never sound sweeter. - I'm still in a state of disbelief. Not sure when this will really sink in but these pictures are coming like a series of punches to the stomach. I can't believe we all got him so wrong! I can't believe his persona over the past three years has all just been a pretence. I don't want to feel bitter about it and I'd like to wish him the best of luck but this has really come as a shock to me. Sorry Fernando, but I can't bring myself to wish you anything other than bad luck, even to the point where Man Utd winning the league seems like the lesser of two evils. Mel81x
them be some bitter words lol but its ok people move on and I suppose the fans have to as well. What good does chiding the poor guy do? Nothing. Come to Anfield and then we'll see who's made of better steel.
