Nemo
btw what do you think about carrol mel ? fantastic prospect, i wont go on about the cost as its obvious newcastle made most of a last minute buy; how do you think he will prosper or fit in liverpool ? he has awesome header but liverpool dont really go for crosses. Mel81x
you know thats what i have been thinking this whole time as well. He's more of a enforcer and path clearer for Suarez imo. We had a tall man once upon a time and he was good too but his head-use was quite minimal. Who knows what will happen because when Kenny Dagalish signed him he did so for a reason. I am sure our training staff man is smiling now because I read an article on LFC a while back that said that the pass-and-go game died when Dagalish left the club. If current signings and shifting of structure is any indication of how the team is moving id say we are moving towards a ill lob it and you control it and create a presence in the box miffing defenders while the rest of the team pushes the ball down the middle or the wings. we are currently missing an excellent winger imo because that would make things rough for most other teams in the PL. We have a tall and big striker along with a guy who also like passing and moving along [RM] and now we have a wildcard in Suarez as well. id also like to take this moment to state that it is time for Jonjo and Jay to step up to the plate because this is their golden moment to shine and one of them has already done so imo. Mel81x
doubt it. ancelotti probably wants to gauge him tactically before they put him in but this is their big signing so he'll probably get a run to show his face to the fans and generate some shine revenue
Nemo
the formalities are yet to be done, torres will most likely not feature tonight. Â @ mel aggred with the enforcer sight; I dont see any good crossers from wide in liverpool line up. Aurelio on his day, yes but he is a luxury to be played for full 90. I DO how ever see andy as a hold up ball/knock down ball to suarez type of tool.
'Pranay
Well Torres was average/good player in La liga. A good striker but nothing more then that. He did shine in 2006 WC Â EPL Suited him better i guess.

Man In The Box
Â Â Why? You want him to do well in Chelsea or what? Did you see his interview? He said he is happy because finally he is playing in a 'big club'. What a disgrace he is. I hate him from the core of my heart
Dark_Knight
It will be so awesome when Torres gets his first goal for the club against Liverpool. The meltdown at RAWK then will be even more EPIC

Anshul
'If you don't play in the Champions League it's as if you don't exist,' Torres wrote bluntly. 'No matter what you do in your domestic league, it doesn't seem to matter without the Champions League. It's the biggest club competition there is and it's there players really prove their worth. Â 'If you don't play in it, you can't prove how good you are. If you're fighting it out for the Champions League, your status grows. Â 'If you're not, you're going backwards.' And Agger .... please injure Torres or break his leg or something like that so he cannot play for another several months. Â Mind yu, but yu seem to have a very bad attitude towards yur football religion... Praying for a career threatening injury to a striker who used to make yu feel orgasmic just weeks (if not days) ago just proves yur footballing character!! My words might be coming off a bit harsh but its Pathetic to read something like this. Just take a look at what Mel has been posting & yu'll understand... Had Drogba joined City last summer, I would have been mad, yes, but my respect would have been with him... For what all he did for the Club.. Look at what Liverpool has been upto past couple of seasons... Not even in the CL anymore & mid-season position this time is also not promising... He was bound to leave and it didn't come out of the blue (pun?)... He was signaling towards his departure since last January... Just get over with it and have some respect at-least for the person who gave Glory to yur club till they imploded in it... Â EDIT: Heck, I didn't even see anyone here, from united camp, this bitter when Rooney saga was on... & his thing was way, way worse... Madhav
Oh yeah and I just read Andy Carroll's words, "I'm gutted to be leaving my home town club, but I was told to go. I didn't want to leave that's why I signed a 5 year deal. To put it simply, I was pushed out of the door." Â FAIL written all over this transfer... But, I hope he does well... He is a GREAT English prospect... Â I wanted him at Bridge too!

Anshul
Yup, you should never wish for an injury to a player  Liverpool fans should understand that Chelsea is a huge step up for him and get over it.
The Assassin
@Madhav:Well said.No one likes to see a career threatening injury even if it happens to a rival club's player.Just imagine yourself in the injured player's position.
