Seemed as if Ivanovic was going to apologize to Cech but Cech started shouting at him so much that even he got pissed off ! Big miss by Maxi and awesome defending by Carragher. I feel he has been the best player in the pitch so far in the match. Lamps has given the ball too much too and anelka has been rather ineffective in what is the pivotal position in our new set up. Would love to have Ramires in place of essien but he isnt even on the bench :| dont think Ancelotti would play josh mc'awesome in such a big match, him being 17 yrs and all. pity cause i think he has it in him to make us push forward from the middle. Carragher for shutting down Fernando and Lucas for just being a terrier in front of the defensive line. Sweetest league victory ever for me. Perhaps felt even better than that 4-1 victory against United at OT 2 years back. Raul Meireles . Also, the formation wasn't defensive. We had two wing backs and basically just 3 at the back. Carragher - we love you . What an amazing performance. Gerrard was pretty average throughout the game but Miereles definitely made up for it. I thought Lucas' touch shouldn't have been a penalty because the hand wasn't intentional. Johnson did get a strong block in but it was a smart move as the referee could have never seen it from that far way. Madhav Posted February 6, 2011 Report Share Posted February 6, 2011 I will not point at the very obvious penalty claims and oh so awesome refereeing, but rather accept the defeat since Chelsea played like utter crap... Liverpool NEVER played good in this match, but Chelsea's game was handpicked out of the Nov-Dec lot... Full of complacency... Even if a single player in Blue shined today, something might have happened... But it was like a dead Stamford Bridge.. Players and Even fans were not digging it in... Stamford Bridge being as noisy as Anfield, how pathetic on our part!!! This season is now all about being able to qualify for the CL... I seriously want nothing more... Sigh!!
