kaka_messi
In all of this Shebby Singh says- Yesterday after Arsenal drew, and today after Chelsea lost. He was asked is the title dreams for these two teams over? He said in affirmative - Yes its all and over with. Shebby Singh wah, wah, aap ke liye Anyways Glory Glory Man Utd. kya baat karte ho bhai.... gunners are still in....with big games ahead for manU and only 4 points diff u cant count out gunners... nothing against any team...but i want the leading two teams to lose some matches... and 3,4,5 team to win and lose some matches..so that season is alive again and everyone is watching the matches(till the end of the season) without knowing who is going to win the league.. Madhav
I'll probably go on to say that our attack wasn't the best but the word never? We might have even been two goals up had Maxi not used the crossbar instead of the net. I'd like some enlightenment if possible here. Nope... these performances would take pool no where infront of in-form manu, arsenal, tottenham, etc.... The thing was that Chelsea did not even come close to penetrate pool's defense... fine maxi lost a chance, but Meireles goal was a howler on Chelsea's part... 99/100 Cech/Iva would do anything to put a part of their body in front of the incoming cross, this time both thought of not getting in each other's way... TBH, it was Chelsea who bought the defeat onto themselves... They lacked in passing, vision, anticipation, fluidity, possesion, EVERYTHING...!! Dark_Knight
Another day and another referee screwed us over. Sigh! Both the teams were crap today. Everything was getting canceled out in the midfield and Pool had the rub of the green. Well I guess they deserved some luck since they lost their best striker and bought a crocked one by overpaying around 15mil for him We were never really in the title race and we still look good for a Champions League spot. Mel81x
while I can probably agree than an in-form ManU might rattle our cage I don't think any team in the PL operates at maximum efficiency against an overloaded defense, SAF's boys as well. Put Liverpool aside and when you look at how the defensive line was setup, it was a sweep formation set to nullify a striker or a lob cross coming in. Tactically its the most sound way to frustrate a high-pressure, fast-moving offensive team. Even if u walk away with a draw ur still not conceding goals and at this stage we will take scraps from the table for a Europa slot. I have absolutely no delusions of grandeur that we will make a CL spot this season, once we visit OT all that will happen if we win is that we firmly place ourselves in a Europa spot and even if we fail there [most likely] we can still walk away with a season that turned itself back on the upturn when we at one point were scrounging to get out of relegation. Even the FA Cup game flipped on us bad because Gerrard got sent off and the last thing you want is a 10 man unit against a full side that knows to use the breadth of the pitch, Arsenal learned it the hard way yesterday, we learned it the hard way in the FA Cup fixture as well. Limiting the opposition and pouncing on the goal takes a lot of skill and discipline if that and there was absolutely no clear-cut chance shown today on goal from Chelsea because we shut the doors as best as we could. Hence my confusion at the word never.

Nemo
Well owned and Even fans were not digging it in... Stamford Bridge being as noisy as Anfield, how pathetic on our part!!! this, yes this. It was downright disgusting. I mean hearing torres booed on every touch wtfisthishiet.. !! we should not be allowed to hear that EVER considering as the match was played at the bridge. Totally out thought by kenny's line up. Well played liverpool.. i will give you lot that. Very bitter about the penalties not give, the lucas one was dead on. Roman's not gonna be pleased Anelka was back to his lazy style. I guess we all expected too much out of him at the no. 10 spot. Its one thing playing sunderland but a determined livepool is different. Essien and lampard were out played. Midfield was shambolic. Missed Ramires BIG TIME. If anelka does not pull up, a CAM is required. not too balls to the walls disturbed by the result (apart from the obvious anger at any loss), the team was always gonna take time to accommodate torres. The season remaining is mostly aim for top 4 and breed in the no.9. If he and drogba cant play/gel together or the team is not comfy with the diamond then big D will have to make a move come summer. Lets see how ancelotti triggers the team and lineup. Looking at the CL now, with the way fortunes hav been swinging, wouldnt put a CL past us.. i mean milan won it in 07 with a torrid domestic run. guess who was the manager of rossaneri then

Dark_Knight
Well owned Really dude? Tell me what did Pool create? Other than one chance for Maxi (Even the cross for this came after the ball hit Bosingwa and fell into the path of Gerrard) absolute zilch. They played 5 at the back and were content with the point. They had luck and instead took all 3. Yes we weren't at our best and we didn't create much either but it takes some time for people to get used to the new system. Luiz looked very good on the pitch and even Torres was decent. He needs some more time on the pitch to get used to the way we play. Yes I am disappointed with the result but not that much really. As I said before we were never really in the title race and we still look good for a Champions League spot. Cash
Chelsea. A Boring match but i loved the way liverpool fans supported them. The way they were asking for Suarez. and the goal was not really because of liverpools attack or anything but just another mistake made by Cech and ranting at his team mate was down right stupid. Nemo
@ rakesh owned in the way that we are left with egg on the face. Yes i fully agree with you that, while we did not deserve to win, we did not deserve to lose either. Any other day we would have received one pk minimum and the goal was clearly because of the 1st half incident playing on both cech and ivanovic's mind. I am really surprised regarding the subs.. read this on some forum- Warren Barton (fox sports) did have a comment that I thought was spot on. Chelsea deflated when Torres was taken off and Liverpool grew. It didn't matter that Torres wasn't having a good game, it was just the move that changed EVERYONES attitude on the pitch. The subbed grew the Liverpool player's confidence and Chelsea just seemed to sort of go quiet, just like the fans. makes me wonder how good is carlo ancelotti thinking off his feet. tbh i am not very confident at his tactics right now. I hope he does achieve his desired formation with team in sync as well as nothing would be better than that, but i dont want him to run the season in ground trying to create the diamond Edited February 6, 2011 by Nemo
