We hadn't created anything while Torres was on the pitch and we didn't create anything after he was subbed. And to be honest the supporters were quiet from the beginning. You could clearly hear boos ring out whenever Torres touched the ball. That was pathetic actually. I think if we are going to play with two upfront we will need a creative midfielder. Maybe McEachren can step up but I think it would be asking too much from him. Benayoun would have been perfect for this formation. He has a lot of trickery and can certainly pick a pass. I don't think Chelsea had even 1 shot on goal except the one by Torres' which was well-blocked @Madhav : Dude since you are saying that 99/100 times Cech and Ivanovic wouldn't have made error, well let me also tell you that 99/100 times even Maxi would have put that shot in the net. @Dark Knight, Liverpool didn't play a defensive 5 man defense . Neither were we lucky to get the win because we deserved it. If you would have seen the way we played then you would have realised that we just had 3 at the back. Carragher was the sweeper and Agger and Skrtel was man-marking Torres ( felt really weird writing this ) and Drogba. Glen and Kelly were playing in line with or even in front of Lucas for God's sake ! It was a clear 3-5-1-1 formation which was sometimes becoming a 3-4-3. The problem was that Chelsea just couldn't penetrate much. I felt had they passed better they could have definitely created more but overall, the better team won here. Really dude? Tell me what did Pool create? Other than one chance for Maxi (Even the cross for this came after the ball hit Bosingwa and fell into the path of Gerrard) absolute zilch. They played 5 at the back and were content with the point. They had luck and instead took all 3. Did you even watch the match ? It's what one does in that moment which makes the difference. I totally agree that this wasn't our best performance ... have you ever seen me write that we were 'fantastic' or 'amazing' in this match? I just said we played better and so we won.
