aakarshd
^^LMAO. Saw this game when I woke up. Recorded it Tata sky much more enjoyable than late at night. The tackles on Messi during the first 10 minutes were especially messed up. All in all, it was a deserved 2-0 victory But Holy hell, Casillas was still Man of the match. Too brilliant Edited December 14, 2008 by DragoNF1re
MadridistaLove
LOL, did you watch the same match that I did? Whatever little respect I had for Madrid is now officially gone thanks to the pathetic hardman tactics employed by Jaunde Ramos' side. I mean did you see the number of dirty fouls they kept making on Messi, Etoo and Henry ? Disgusting, it was getting worse than the Coca Cola Cup. The ref started handing out yellows after a few minutes and that stopped the fouls otherwise someone was gonna get hurt. Also, wtf do you mean "more suitably 1", Barca could have had 3-4 goals if it wasnt for some good goalkeeping from Iker and a bad penalty from Etoo. Dude, I know you're a big fan, but seriously, you're just a tad bit deluded. You had gotten lucky uptil the 80 minute mark to not concede (though granted, Drenthe could have got one for you but he is a crap finisher). The catalans hardly scrapped through a hideous goal, it was a wonderful header from Puyol who got up in between 3 Madrid players to set up the goal, and great reflexes from Etoo. And did you completely miss the part where Barca scored a second? Great finish from Messi Dont cry injuries, we (Arsenal) played through 60% of last season carrying injuries to as many players as you are carrying now, and still managed to stay top of the table till Feb. Your post = Whats wrong wid u? "hardman tactics"? No one wanted to injure that f**ker....Real Madrid neva play dat way!Half of the time this f**k was tripping over from a slightest of touches! Did u see yaya n marques tackling like assholes??No u didnt....u just have to prove a -ve point against real! And stop f**king pissing me off by saying that we were lucky!Lucky is the word used by losers as an excuse! Didn't u f**king see the effort put up by the whites? No u didnt......So if u didnt, dont replace the true effort by luck! Messi's finishing was amazing.....but we went on full attack and only canna was dere to defend.....thats y,second goal was like a gift! Did u even f**kin see the way eto scored the goal??through his chest.....puyol's header was gud but the finishing...... This madrid side with 2nd and 3rd sting players almost fetched us a draw......And everyone,f**kin everyone(xcept ppl like u who do not like to praise a true effort put in)even da catalans hav praised the effort put in by these lads! Again u have started crying abt da gunners........i know dey faced da same problem n dats y i always feel bad for them coz dey start da season on high n den injuries takes over da gud effort!!And i am not cying abt this injuries......going into such a big match....u cant ignore these mighty problems! So plz learn to praise a hard effort put in!and dun use the word "LUCKY"
DevilsOwn
senor, their is a fine line between being and ardent fan and having blind faith.. Whats wrong wid u?"hardman tactics"? No one wanted to injure that f**ker....Real Madrid neva play dat way!Half of the time this f**k was tripping over from a slightest of touches! Did u see yaya n marques tackling like assholes??No u didnt....u just have to prove a -ve point against real! Please look at those tackles again, those "slightest of touches" were all aimed at ankle and above, the area not covered by a shin guard, and it was being done by everyone. it took a yellow card to ramos to stop those tackles. (and ramos didnt even question his card, or others the decisions of free kicks against them). it was, well very nearly, strategic dismemberment! And stop f**king pissing me off by saying that we were lucky!Lucky is the word used by losers as an excuse!Didn't u f**king see the effort put up by the whites? No u didnt......So if u didnt, dont replace the true effort by luck! the effort yesterday was as good as sunderland's against united last week. having 10 players in your half, jumping at players, in path of ball; can be called effort, can also be called desperate defending. which for a team like madrid, is pretty pitiful. Messi's finishing was amazing.....but we went on full attack and only canna was dere to defend.....thats y,second goal was like a gift!Did u even f**kin see the way eto scored the goal??through his chest.....puyol's header was gud but the finishing...... Thats not a gift, a gift is intentional ask Dan; the goal was a result of a desperate, and thus faulty, tactic. you guys had no option to go all out attack. As for eto's goal, thats what natural finishers end up doing. being in the right place at the right time. does one have to remind you of a certain ex-red in your team?? If i were a madrid fan, i would be be really upset, with the way the team was playing yeseterday. Even a depleted Madrid side shouldnt be on the backfoot for such a long period of time, with little by the way of attack.
saberwing
Excellent post DevilsOwn, good to see some sense finally in this thread. Much appreciated Madridista, if effort is what you appreciate so much why dont you support a team like Getafe/Everton/Blackburn. You'll be treated to a whole lot of effort week in week out. Instead of trying to set a record for the number of censored words in a post, why dont you try and post something sensible. Since when is an excellent break by the opposition called a "gift" ? And Etoo's goal was an excellent finish, a poachers goal. Don't try to undermine Barca's performance by saying Madrid put in a great effort with their 2nd string side. Higuain, Raul, Guti, Cana, Metz, Iker, Ramos -- thats 7 out of 11 starters and you call that your second string side? If you want to keep on blindly believing that your side is doing great, then go ahead. But it takes a good supporter to admit it when things arent going great, and unfortunately you're not able to do that. I'm not crying about Arsenal, I'm just providing you an example that plenty of football sides have to deal with injuries, so you need to stop using that as an excuse. Our attack was blunt......robben,rvn were not dere....n da others who were present had to help in defending! Go n see the predictions ppl made.....4 nil,5-1,5 nil etc! We went for a draw....we made very little effort to go for a win! We did well considering the conditions but couldnt come out with a pt! I AM TALKING ABOUT 'EFFORT'.....WE GAVE EVERYTHING WE HAD,DIDNT WE? AND THATS WHAT I WANTED....WE GAVE OUR 100% IN BOTH SEVILLA N DIS MATCH BUT RESULTS WERE NOT SATISFYING! I NEVER SAID MY SIDE IS DOING GREAT,I SAID WE GAVE ALL WE HAD INSTEAD OF HIDING IN DA CORNER AND I AM PROUD OF THAT! And i am sorry if i offended anyone...... I may get too possesive about my team at times coz for me FOOTBAL=REAL MADRID! good nite!

Not under Scolari, nope. Just look at the way Chelsea responded to going 2-1 down against Arsenal, it was like they didn't believe they could get back again. No commitment, not even a single shot on target in the second half. Mourinho's men would never have gone down like that. Scolari just doesnt instill the same spirit in the players like Jose did imo. Madhav
well havnt watched more than 1 or 2 matches this season ( no tv ) but yeah mourinho era.... his shrewdness and his confidence in his players did make all the players to play as a unit.. he used to bring up the greed inside every player to win! look what he turned drogba into... if it wasnt for mourinho, he wouldnt even be half of what he is now! the_BIG_J
^^ true i never thot drogba was worth 32 million pounds when he was signed, I mean he did have the raw talent, but under mourinho he really blossomed, and now is definitely a world class striker. Its sad that he is kept on the bench though, I think Anelka and him can make a fearsome strike partnership. As for Chelsea's home record, dont also forget that, makele and essien are out, and that does make a difference! As for scolari, he is brilliant, there is no doubting his credentials, atleast he has made chelsea more attractive to watch!
