My wife looked at it and said why are you marking a cricket world cup finals on a football calendar? I just replied by saying "That's when television returns to normal for football fans in India". Going by the way we promote sports I find it funny that Hockey didn't get all three channels and better coverage but such is life. Streaming FTW! I agree that showing a cricket match on three different channel is some f**ked up sh*t but the way you constructed your argument is questionable indeed.... am i obliged to support indian cricket team just because i am indian AND cricket is our pseudo national sport, irrespective of whether i like cricket as a sport or not ? not saying i do or dont but just asking. I have a friend who supports south africa (he is indian) in cricket, citing his love for their fast bowling and the numerous heart breaks they have had in the world cup over the years; i have always caste a bewildered look regarding him, but after reading your scathing attacks (coming from a very HIGH HORSE, mind you) i dont think i can blame that guy. And yes, Im with Nemo and I am selfish, if thats selfish. But really, can you calling asking for 1 channel of football over 3 channels of cricket selfish? I think not. The only reason it would be telecast on 3 channels is because of the Indian cricket team and their whole commercial fondue. Football is a far far far less commercialised sport and much more noble while the causing of watching. Yes, if this is all selfish. I am selfish. I dont live in North London, so I dont have any local rivalry with them. Quite the opposite. I really like Tottenham and the brand of football they play. Only reason Id probably dislike them would be the events that happen during a match or comments pre or post match, which are all heat of the moment things, so its understandable. The only team I genuinely hate is Man Utd, cause Ive lost count of the no.of deluded Man Utd fans Ive met over the years. Its unbelievable.
