Guyz just wanted to kno.. if i get a ps3 or xbox 360 from US/Canada, will it be operational here in India, i mean it will be supporting the NTSC playback, so will it be playable with our PAL TV/LCD systems..

Cuz the price difference is hel lot (almost 10000 for xbox 360 pro). Or is play-asia a better way to purchase..

The prob at ma side is tat i have a budget of 16k, n i dun wana buy a 360 core... nuthn seems 2 go by ma way at d moment :wallbash:

Please guide... abt d pros n cons of buyn from abroad..

Thanks a lot...

I have an NTSC (US) console. It's failed once and I had to buy another one because this was before 360 was launched in India. I think its starting to fail again though - I'm gettign "Unplayable Disc" sometimes :sign_offtopic:....... but yeah it works on all TVs just make sure you buy a stepdown converter for the power from 220v to 110v... and make sure the wattage is quite high. Mine cost me about 700 bucks

You must but the console from India in order to get it serviced here.

To all those contemplating buying from abroad - DON'T DO IT! Yes, the price difference is tempting, but overall it's much safer to buy from here.
