Dude wtf, didn't they say they had to rebuild everything from scratch. Currently, I am happy with all the tracks, hopefully more will be unlocked in game and there might be DLC's too.

Yeah bunch of tracks were canned from GT4, but then GT4 was monster in terms of content. We should really compare it to GT3 which was first on new platform.

 

Personally I would've taken more city/street tracks like Amalfi, Paris, Seattle, Grand Canyon over 1000+ cars. The whole point of Gran Turismo (italian for grand tourer) is to hop into exotic cars which you can never afford in real life, and drive long distances over picturesque countryside tracks which you'll probably never go to. Thats the whole appeal of this game, the racing part is secondary. Why else do you think a racing sim sells tens of millions of copies?

 

And El Capitan was in one of the GT5 trailers, so was Piazza del Campo which riled up Sienna people because of their flags.
