Karooo
Blizzard's game downloaded 2.3 million times on most popular torrent. Torrent Freak has posted a list of record-breaking torrent files which includes the largest and oldest torrents recorded. StarCraft II wins the award for the most data transferred. The most popular torrent file of the 7.19 GB game has reached 2.3 million downloads, totalling 15.77 Petabytes since its launch. As Blizzard makes the game available on its own, legitimate, BitTorrent downloader, it may have transferred even more data. As Blizzard doesn't provide any stats on performance, however, no official comparison can be made. http://www.next-gen.biz/news/starcraft-ii-breaks-torrent-download-records

Bulovski
^^ Pretty sure a large portion of the download was by people who bought the game and was frustrated by the Blizzard downloader. Like me.

ColorCodePurple
^^ Pretty sure a large portion of the download was by people who bought the game and was frustrated by the Blizzard downloader. Like me. Or in my case, the darned CD was not running Well the torrent is supposed to include both legitmate and illegitmate. pirated SC2 does not give much except the campaign and skirmish (for which you need to download a 3rd party software) and both of these can be achieved using a simple guest pass
