I can guarantee you this is going to be more closer to Uncharted than old TR games, which is ironic since when Uncharted came out it was dubbed as Dude Raider. Nothing wrong in another TP action/adventure game with survival theme, just don't expect any mind bending puzzles or platforming levels that'll make you stop and think before next jump.

no one can deny that uncharted is inspired by tomb raider..also abt this game....they already said it will still be action adventure game in heart...their will be platforming and lot of puzzles too.....i am sure of it.

a trailer would have answered lot of questions in our mind...they tell abt such a big game through a magazine. :ack:

adventure game in heart - suuuuuuuuuuure. didn't they say SC:Conviction would be a stealth game at heart?

i trust crystal dynamics...they have been made enough TR games to know ...the basic gameplay of tomb raider games....we just need to wait for a trailer to see more clearly.

 

abt SC Conviction..not played. :(

People who worked at CD and then Joined ND, and no none of them worked on TRs.

But its quite obvious thats ND was a lot inspired from TRs but they had more guns and far lesser platforming. Prolly it's time for TR to learn a thing or two from them.

See - nemo knows what he wants. That is the the core group to which Lara Croft caters. The game may compete with UC2 in terms of graphics and gameplay but till there is the bouncy there is no satisfaction.

 

Except DOA there is not a single game which has suffered from an excess of the mammary.

 

Cmon folks - demand that cup size!

^ thanks bul :D but jokes aside, TR should be different from Uncharted.

 

I dunno about others but i would like my lara different from my drake and by that i dont just mean boobs.

 

when i see drake i expect a thrill a minute hollywood movie ride with loads of characters (nate being the focal, obviously), lots of explosions, fast pacing, epic dialogues, super humor and good camp and cheese.

 

when i see lara i expect a much more somber affair, not too much of a side cast, she alone preferably, not much talking, crazy platforming, simple gun fights and generally a more serious, slower progression.

Oh common you people are over exaggerating, Lara's bust wasn't even as big as people make it out to be they've reduced it a lot since the blunder (it was actually a blunder) in the first game. The last three games got her figure right, nothing too overblown but nothing too less either, it was certainly not unrealistic, anyone who doubts that should take a look at Alison Carroll who has the exact same proportions but is equally athletic.

 

Anyways considering how she's just 21 in this game, her proportions look fine...infact she even looks like the Lara from Underworld in some of those scans.

 

 

The WORST fear I have is that they'll make the platforming automated...just like every other damn game out there !

I'm not asking it to require perfect precision like the TR games (till Angel of Darkness) but I don't want it to be as simple like Assassin's Creed (hold 2 buttons & everything is done automatically) or Uncharted (where you pretty much have to jump in the other direction if you want to see your character fail)....and CERTAINLY not like Enslaved where, uh I don't even wanna talk about that ! <_<

Its true, I LOVED the attention of detail they gave to Lara's eyes in Underworld....it was so good to look at, infact I don't think I remember a single game where the main character had so much varied eye/eyebrow/eyelash movements during gameplay. If you have TR: Underworld, then boot up the game & watch Lara's eye movements for a few minutes, you'll be surprised....believe me !

 

 

Though the left right eye in this artwork is sorta off the mark, also keep in mind the 3D model (ingame/maya) is usually a LOT different than the artwork....and in most cases the 3D model ends up being better than the artwork.

nice..thanks for the info bro ....but i am not going for it now... i have already got good quality scans from the dwnload link..plus i just needed for new tomb raider...dont care abt the rest of the issues.

 

u should check the link i posted ..they are really...fully readable..

Btw I am not sure about this new free aim mechanic, the lock on in previous games provided you with the mobility to dodge acrobatically while shooting and use the environment, you can't do this in a free aim mechanic. Also its fair to say that the game will imply a cover system (Its a like a given, for any game with free aim these days).

 

As for open world/sandbox game..I want them to go the MGS3 way instead of Farcry 2/Crysis/Stalker way. From MGS3 way I mean a sandbox where you progress forward for the most part , while having the option to choose between several paths and go to any area you've already been to till that point.
