I think it is something related to expectations, in the first expectations it was directly compared to UC2. In second play through played it with opened mind, took my time and loved it. Yes, the game is as linear as they come, the puzzle solving can get really annoying at times, but everything else is top notch. If not for Skyrim, this would surely have been my GOTY 2011. I too enjoyed it even more on my second playthrough...the game truly is superb....i can understand UC2 comparison also..one reason why people felt disappointed but otherwise...this is superb game.
