Elessar Posted April 30, 2012 Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 I know its very very late and Im ashamed that I did not play it till now .Buy seriously,what an amazing experience My Favorite Game of All Time The Most Amazing moment was when Sully got shot .There was something very powerful about it . Cant differentiate between what I liked more Fire,Water,Air all were spectacular Good you enjoyed it so much But I didn't like that ending bit at all.. It would have been better if they actually got Sully shot (maybe not killed, but at least hurt) to raise the stakes. Instead it turned out to be a major cop out with the whole hallucination thing, which always seems contrived to me, trying to draw out emotional reactions from nothing. Also about the ending I actually liked it better than 2 I know it feels less epic when compared to the other chapters but that is only because the other chapters were so Amazing .Unlike in UC2 I actually thought Sully had died and I honestly didnt feel anything bad when Elena was shot but I felt very bad when Sully was shot .But I get what you mean by the lack of a bad a*s boss fight in the end . Before I played this , I was certain we would have an Uncharted 4 next year but now I doubt it what else does Naughty Dog have to prove and what else can they add more to the game .I think its as Perfect a game I have ever played and will ever play . IMO it was better than UC2 in Gameplay,Graphics,Experience and Storytelling .There was a lot more variety in everything .I liked UC2 more for its amazing never before seen Graphics but this game I liked it for almost everything. The good thing which i liked about the story it showed how nathan devloped as a character and how they showed he realised that his quest for tresure hunting is affecting his friends and putting them into danger IMO Uncharted 3 is still not perfect since their are lots of stuffs which they can improve upon. I Actually didnt feel that uncharted 3 was similar to uncharted 2. Uncharted 3 was more of an adventure game for 50% of the time, later turning into a shooter which uncharted 2 was. The First 4 chapters were underwhelming and left me disappointed considering how hyped i was for the game. However the game kept getting better and better and i throughly enjoyed 90% of the game there after. The game had some brilliant moments and also has some of the best levels in the series. The Puzzles in the game was a nice improvement as well. The Flow of the Story and Lack of Gameplay improvements were '-ve' aspects for me. I like that we can mix [stealth, Melee and shoot] during gun fights. Problem is when i use strealth i wish if the "strealth" was as good as the other stealth games and while doing melee i wish it was as good as "batman" for example. Lack of choices and player control also hurts a bit because Drake would only do it if you performed it in a certain manner. [in a scripted way, you can say] Their is a Grab Button which is pretty much useless unless you are near a window where you can throw the enemy out of the window. I wish it would had a much better use then just doing this. So Pretty the Problem with Melee is that it lacks depth and also the players has less control over what he wants to do. Also it was a bit unbalanced since you can pretty much kill the enemy with one kick to the head while jumping from a object while it took few punches/bullets if you normally press O or X. I Pretty much welcome more focus on Melee and Stealth since i used that most of the time, however i hope for the next game adds more player control and Variety to it with Smart Enough AI to make the Game More Challenging and fun. I liked the gunfights in uncharted 3 but it was pretty much same as uncharted 2 [ a bit more dynamic since some levels were well designed, open and offered different tactics which made mix up a lot of stuffs and made it an awesome experience]. The Set Pieces, Exploration, Chase Sequences, felt like a step above uncharted 2 so i have no complaints here. Also i liked Certain aspects of the story as well as use of characters in the game. Glad ND took out most of the platformming in this game since i did feel it was the weakest thing in the uncharted series. The platformming in uc3 for most of the parts took place during gun fights or for short traversal so it didnt bother me much. Overall the Single Player is quite good and for which i would give it an 8/10. However the Multiplayer and CO OP in this game is fantastic an that was my reason it was game of the year TBH I am huge fan of this series but i generally believe that none of the games in this series are iconic or a legendary or a gem but i do believe that the series has the potential to keep on improving and produce a gem of a game which will top the previous 3. But you do realize that it gets an 8/10 only because its the sequel of the game of this generation .I think is you consider it standalone its probably a 10/10 . The biggest thing for me is that its been compared to the game which has really set the standard for games this generation and baring a few areas it surpasses it quite nicely. I dont like shooting games but once I started playing this game last night at 9 in the night i did not stop until I saw the end credits rolled .There was so much variety in the environments,the story telling was brilliant and every moment you could feel more and more connected to the experience .
