man_of_the_moment Posted December 10, 2010 Report Share Posted December 10, 2010 ok, this is a weird problem. I played the non-plat version of AC2 and got about 60% (20 hours) through the game. Then did not play it for a while. I do not have the disk with me anymore. don't ask how n why Stupid me, thought of getting the platinum version that has extra content (secret locations etc) But when I inserted the platinum game, it starts with a new game, does not recognize the previous existing save. I then thought of copying the "game save file" manually, and found that there are two entries in the "game save data utility", 1 for non-plat version and 1 for plat.(the way to differentiate was the date when the save data was last accessed). I tried to copy the game save to USB for non-plat so that I can import it into the plat version and found out its locked. After some research, found out about this stupid lock that AC2 (KZ2 has it too) has on game save data that wont let you copy the save data/backup/restore etc. Any of you guys know a work around (other than me getting a non-plat version of-course) that I can use to use my non-plat save with this stupid platinum disk?
