I am playing on PC and hear that dialog at least once every time I visit Whiterun (or atleast every alternate visit).

Not heard that dialog in any other village/town/city.

Edit - It is pretty boring to hear that dialog now, after putting in 60+ hours.

Anyway, I went on that tree sap quest and got my a*s kicked by those tree witches. My partner is totally useless as well. So I just took the tree sap and ran away, instead of facing them. Will get back some other day after leveling up :threatenlumber:

there are total 102 locations in the game.....

Most annoying NPC quotes in Skyrim

"Let me guess - somebody stole your Sweet Roll." (Guards)

"Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh what am I saying, of course you don't..." (Nazeem)

"Some people call this junk. Me? I call it treasure." (Merchants)

"You don't look so good," (Everyone)

"You look awful.. better not get me sick" (Jarl)

"I use to be an adventurer like you ...then i took an arrow to the knee...."

"So you can cast a few spells, am I supposed to be impressed?

"Disrespect the law, and you disrespect me."

"Watch the skies, traveller."

"Don't think you can barter with me like I'm one of those damned shopkeepers."

"No lollygaggin'."

I have discovered more than 100 locations now (as indicated by unlocked Explorer trophy)

Apparently the guards don't know that. :D

Seriously though, I think guards' dialogues depend heavily on the Quests you have completed. For instance, if you complete the Dark Brotherhood quest they'll greet you with "Psst.. I know who you are. Hail Sithis!". So, by this logic, the probability of hearing the arrow to the knee line decreases as you progress further. But still, the lines are random("What? Someone stole your sweet roll?" after saving the world from Alduin) so you should be able to hear that.

"Hands to yourself, sneak thief."

"This one needs something?"(Khajiits)

"Out of the way, meat"(Vampires)

"Wherever the Daedra hide, vigils of Staendar will bring them to light" (Most annoying, since everyone says it all the time in Hall of Vigilantes)

Yeah, many guard's dialogues are relevant to quests I completed. Still the sweet roll one is the most repeated.

Read this somewhere

Always telling you that you're just another adventurer to lick his father's boots. Well it seems there is a reason that he's such an a**hole. It's a late level quest. You have to be level 20 to start it.I don't want to give too much away but if you're over level 20 and want to know why he's rude go to the Bannered Mare in Whiterun and ask for rumors until you are told about the Jarl's kids and how they're acting weird.

The rest is self explanatory. I love this game.

Will try this tonight.
