sup bro?
Vampirism is still way more forgiving than in Morrowind and Oblivion. Last night I managed to max out Sneak and got the final perk. That breaks down all the dungeons and ruins to nothing. I can simply stroll around grabbing things and not give a f**k about anything.... just like Oblivion.
Tyler
How many shouts have you got? Around 8 or 9 I think. Some are pretty useless though. My most used ones are Slow Time, Disarm, Ice Form, Whirlwind Sprint and Unrelenting Force.

I'm a sneaksy-archer kinda guy and the only one I use it is the 'detect-life' thingy.
Tyler
I'm a battle mage. One Handed, Light Armor and Destruction magic. My next playthrough will be a sneaky archer. Also there's shout for Detect Life? I have the spell but not the shout...
MarketTantrik
^^ Why Light Armor? Go for the Heavy Armor and Dragon fights become quite easy.
Tyler
Started with Heavy Armor but switched to light after the first 10 hours. I have Lydia in full Legendary Ebony Armor and she does most of the tanking. Also, dragon fights are easy anyway.

sup bro?
^^ Why Light Armor? Go for the Heavy Armor and Dragon fights become quite easy. I kill all Dragons in 4 hits (from arrows) on an average. After a certain point of time there is no challenge in combat. I don't carry any potions (except invisibility ones), don't rely on companions, don't care about the money. Just following a pacifist run, sneaking around completing objectives expect places where killing is necessary.
MarketTantrik
After a certain point of time there is no challenge in combat. Good. That means the enemy leveling system isn't as ridiculous as it was in Oblivion.
Tyler
I'm lvl 38 now and most combat encounters are pretty easy with a high destruction skill (and I do twice the damage with one handed weapons) but every once in a while a boss proves to be tricky and I have to improvise. That said the overall challenge is much better than Oblivion. @Insider... I like the idea of a pacifist run. Suits a sneaky character very well. Looks like you're role-playing as Garrett there. The bonuses on sneak attacks are insane though. That's the #1 reason I want to try a sneaky build next time. sup bro?
Good. That means the enemy leveling system isn't as ridiculous as it was in Oblivion. It's much, much better. I do run into trouble occasionally but most of the times it's no biggie. The difficulty seemed much more progressive than Oblivion, especially with some enemies. I attempted the first 'Companions' quest at a very early level and was raped by the Draugr Deathlords. Had to reload, level up, and then proceed. @Insider... I like the idea of a pacifist run. Yeah, sneaky characters are pretty difficult to begin but you can observe the effects quite soon. Also, Sneak is an easy skill to level up. I am in the sneak mode almost all the time, even when I don't have to. It just builds up really quickly. I'm gonna try a Nord Badass run next. Heaviest of heavy armour and just whack and crush everything. Some dude did a pacifist run and reached level 35 (without killing a single enemy). He used companions and guards cleverly for dragons. That was pretty impressive.
Tyler
The problem with a pure warrior build is that melee combat gets boring pretty fast.
sup bro?
Yeah.. it may end up something like this I have never tried a pure Conjuration based stealth mage. It saves up a lot of space in the inventory and the conjured weapons look pretty cool in Skyrim. Either way it's Trine 2 this week. If I feel like continuing the same character, I'll stick to it or either a punching badass or a conjuring, Khajit mage.
spindoctor
I'm lvl 38 now and most combat encounters are pretty easy with a high destruction skill that won't last. 40-42 onwards i started having a lot of problems with magic. the dps doesn't even compare to archery which is the 2nd style of combat i'm using. to play a magic character, you seriously need the right build for it, which includes a lot of points in the destruction tree, a lot of enchants on your armor for mana regen or spell cost reduction and a lot of points spent in increasing mana when you level up. if you have a hybrid half assed build (like i do), destruction magic will not be able to sustain you because fights will be too long and you will run out of mana during them.
